Affiliates,

As a friendly reminder, your station has opted in to stream Westwood One’s coverage of the NFL for the 2022 season. We’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of the rules regarding streaming the games, and include some additional information:

1. Stream must be a direct simulcast of the Station’s terrestrial broadcast of Westwood One’s NFL game coverage, including all commercials.

2. Stations must set up a geofence for its stream of the NFL game broadcasts that blacks out the games within 100 miles of the home city of that game’s participating teams (including Milwaukee for the Green Bay Packers).

3. Stations must run a 15-second pre-roll Network Commercial provided by Network, which will play each time a listener visits Station’s stream during Network’s NFL game broadcasts, including the listener’s initial entry and each subsequent re-entry. Stations must carry the most up-to-date Network Commercials provided by Network.

4. Station must provide the metrics below to Network for each Network NFL game broadcast that Station streams promptly after each game:

Listenership Metrics

·       Total listening hours

·       Session starts

·       Average Active Sessions

·       Cume (uniques)

Impression Metrics (for pre-roll commercials) *see note below

·       Total impressions

·       Unique impressions

Pre-Roll Commercial Delivery:  Stations will be receiving the pre-roll commercial via CDN (Westwood One’s content delivery network). Each week, the delivery of the preroll commercial is expected to be Wednesday or Thursday for the following week. Please note that the flight of these commercials follow a standard Monday-Sunday broadcast week, not an NFL broadcast week (i.e. Thurs-Mon). For example, the first commercial delivery will cover games airing Thursday 9/8-Sunday 9/10. The second delivery will cover Monday 9/12-Sunday 9/18. Stations will have access to CDN both via email delivery and by visiting https://cdn.westwoodone.com. If you are logging into the CDN for the first time, you will be prompted to enter your email address to receive a special link. When you receive that link in your email, you will then have access going forward to CDN, with no password needed.

Reporting Impression Metrics for Pre-roll: We will also send your station a unique pixel code that goes with each commercial, which you will enter into the tracking code field. This will allow Westwood One to track the total and unique impressions for the pre-roll without any further action taken by the station. Note stations must still take action for the Listenership Metrics. If you need assistance attaching the pixel code to the commercial, we recommend contacting your streaming provider (i.e. Triton, Amperwave, Stream Guys, Securenet , etc.).

Reporting the Listenership Metrics: For Total Listening Hours, Session Starts, Average Active Sessions and Cume, your station will be sent an email with a fillable form, every two (2) weeks online via PandaDoc. Please fill out the fields in their entirety and include all requested data. Stations will have 14 days from the date the form is sent to complete it and send it back.

Who to contact for help: For questions on inserting the pixel code or obtaining the requested metrics, we suggest contacting your streaming provider. For all other questions related to Westwood One NFL streaming, please contact Rodney Whitaker at rodney.whitaker@cumulus.com or 503-729-2636. If there are questions regarding your NFL contract (or non-streaming related questions) please contact your Westwood One Affiliate Sales Rep.

Thank You,
