Message from the Village President, Kevin Buckley
There are three important events this week:
- Wednesday 4-7pm: Brats & Cops, followed by a Neighborhood Watch Meeting. Read below for details.
- Wednesday 7pm: WFB School District Annual Meeting at the HS Auditorium. If you are going to go to one School Board meeting a year, this is it. Lots of great information about how the district is doing, its finances, and it is your opportunity to vote on the annual tax levy.
- Thursday 5-7pm: Sip Shop Support Local on Silver Spring. This is the last SSS of the year, so take a few minutes to visit Silver Spring and toast our merchants with some wine.
Have a great week! -kb

Update from Village Hall: | |
Silver Spring District – Parking Garage Update
The employee parking permit restrictions for the 10-hour (west) parking garage on E. Beaumont Ave. will be changing on Tuesday, September 5th. Currently, an employee parking permit is required in the west garage prior to 10:00 a.m. (except Sundays). Effective September 5th, an employee parking permit will be required prior to 4:00 p.m. (Except Sundays). The Village Board recently approved the revision following inquiries from business operators and employees about the lack of available spaces in the west garage. Per usage data, the extended permit requirement will lead to increased use of the 2-hour (east) parking garage by customers, which will then free up spaces in the west garage for employees.
Employees of the Silver Spring District may obtain a no-fee parking permit from the Whitefish Bay Police Department (5300 N. Marlborough Dr.) – Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
