Katja Scholz reports from Germany where the cleaning sector is taking a keen interest in elections. Germany is about to embark on elections to the Bundestag. By early summer, the contract cleaning association BIV had spelt out the political issues closest to its heart. More than 300 firms took part in an online questionnaire to rate political issues according to importance.

Diversey Opens New Research Center
Diversey has opened a new Innovation Zone Research and Development Center. The facility, part of Diversey’s corporate headquarters campus in Fort Mill, South Carolina, houses the company’s research and development test centers in one centralized location. The Innovation Zone includes Diversey’s analytical; formulation; microbiology; and dosing, dispensing, and application labs.

WorkWave, a provider of SaaS solutions, has signed an agreement to purchase TEAM Software, a provider of software and solutions for cleaning, security, and facilities management service providers.
