Make time for your flu vaccine
Our fall flu clinics make it easier to protect yourself and your family. Appointments are required.
Influenza can cause serious illness in people of any age and can be especially dangerous for young children and older adults. Annual vaccination remains the best way to lower your risk of severe illness and help protect the people around you.

Not a flu-shot person? Hear us out.
“I never get the flu.” “I got the shot and still got sick.” “The flu shot makes me sick.”
We’ve heard it all. The flu vaccine isn’t a guarantee, but—like wearing a seat belt—it improves your odds when something does go wrong. It lowers your chance of getting influenza and, importantly, reduces your risk of becoming seriously ill if you do catch it.
Vaccination also helps protect babies, older adults, pregnant people, and those with medical conditions who may have a harder time fighting the virus. The standard flu shot cannot give you influenza. Temporary soreness, aches, or fatigue can happen as your immune system learns what to fight—or you may have encountered one of the many other viruses circulating during flu season.
One quick shot, one sore arm, and much better odds of keeping influenza from ruining your week—or worse. We think that’s a pretty good deal.

Healthy Aging Month
Curiosity Has No Age Limit
This year’s Healthy Aging Month theme celebrates curiosity as
a way to stay engaged, keep learning, discover new interests,
and connect with the world around us. September is a wonderful
time for a fresh start at any age.
|
01
Learn something new
Take a class, explore a new subject, or revisit a skill
you’ve always wanted to learn.
|
|
02
Try a new activity
Walking, yoga, dancing, swimming, or another activity
can challenge your body in a positive way.
|
|
03
Make a connection
Spend time with people from another generation and share
ideas, stories, and fresh perspectives.
|
|
04
Say yes to curiosity
Visit a new place, pursue a creative interest, ask more
questions, or step outside a familiar routine.
|
|
Make your health part of the fresh start.
Your provider can help you stay current on recommended
physicals, screenings, vaccines, and routine lab work.

Seasonal Health
Fall Allergies Are Here
Ragweed pollen is one of fall’s biggest allergy triggers.
Checking pollen levels, closing windows on high-pollen days,
and changing clothes after time outdoors can help reduce exposure.
|
More Likely Allergies
Itchy, watery eyes
Frequent sneezing
Symptoms linger with exposure
No fever or body aches
|
|
More Likely a Virus
Sore throat
Chest congestion
Often resolves in 7–10 days
May include fever or aches
|
|
Still struggling with seasonal symptoms?
If your symptoms are persistent, severe, or difficult to identify,
your primary care provider can help determine whether allergies,
an infection, or something else may be causing them—and recommend
the right treatment.
