Convention 2017: Price Extension
For those of you who didn’t have the chance to register before the May 31 deadline, you’re in luck because we’ve extended the $185 registration price until June 14. After that, though, the higher price of $235* will go into effect. So, if you haven’t registered yet, make sure to do so very soon. We’ll also soon be announcing the well-known entertainment act that will be performing at the Awards Ceremony, which will be an experience you won’t want to miss!
One last but important note, we’ve hit a major milestone in registration. As of today, we have more than 18,900 associates signed up to attend the convention. Congratulations to Raja Dhaliwal for being the top EVC in May and Kash & Tina Rastan as the top SMD base shop in May.
The start of the Hawaii 2018 contest period began June 1, so make sure you’re working to qualify for this wonderful reward trip to the island of Maui. The associates who earn this trip will stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, with green group associates heading there from Feb. 4-9, 2018 and blue group associates staying from Feb. 9-14, 2018.

Client Signature Dates On Trade Documents
Your RBM Supervision team have identified a number of recent trades in which Advisors have dated the trade documents for their clients. Please be advised that clients must always provide the date for their signatures. Although there have been issues in the past that have caused the date to be populated automatically on trade documents, this issue has now been fixed. From this point forward, please make sure that your client signs and dates trade documents after completing all trading instructions.

If you hold a life license in the province of Alberta (AB), your license renewal is required by June 30, 2017. It is important to renew before the due date to avoid a lapse of your life license. Please note that the Alberta Insurance Councilhas Continuing Education (CE) requirements, so please ensure you maintain your CE records for auditing purposes.

HLLQP Price Decrease Effective June 1

New Reporting Requirement
In November 2015 the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) introduced an initiative to ensure life and accident and sickness insurance agents' comply with errors and omissions (E&O) insurance requirements. Effective immediately, you must report to FSCO the life insurers you represent, have a contract with and/or on whose behalf you sell insurance products.
