Special NEW Program Coming in March! | |
Saturday, March 29th
SAVE THE DATE!
Around April 1st, bibliophiles, book artists, and food lovers around the world gather to celebrate the book arts and the (literal!) ingestion of culture. Participants create an “edible book,” which can be inspired by a favorite tale, involve a pun on a famous title, or simply be in the shape of a book (or scroll, or tablet, etc). All entries will be exhibited, documented, then EATEN!
Ask at the Children’s Desk for a paper tracking log.

As part to the library’s Black History Month Creative Expression Project we are offering an in-person zine workshop. What is a zine? Zines are a small, self-published work that’s usually photocopied and distributed in small quantities. Zine’s are encouraged to be based on the prompts: famous Black Americans, or any related topic. All zines submitted will be entered into the project for judging by our panel, as well as be made available for community viewing. People of all ages are, of course, invited to create a zine if they wish. For all ages. Drop in.
