Jammin With You puts the JAM in Jamboree and the U in Music! Come dance, sing and jam along with us at the Wellesley Free Library this year! With a modern and engaging approach to children's music entertainment, Jammin With You takes your family on magical musical adventures with plenty of laughter and smiles along the way. This class is best suited for children ages 0-5 but is fun for the whole family! Pack your instruments and dancing shoes - we'll see you soon! Adult participation required.

Desde demostraciones de libros de cocina y talleres de cómics hasta creación de máscaras y clases de idiomas, esta biblioteca tiene algo para todos los gustos y Lobito está deseando mostrárselo. Se planea un dibujo conjunto y se recomiendan materiales y papel para dibujar.

Sobre el autor: Raúl the Third es un ilustrador, autor y artista superventas del New York Times y tres veces ganador del premio Pura Belpre, residente en Boston. Su obra se centra en la experiencia mexicoamericana contemporánea y sus recuerdos de su infancia en El Paso, Texas, y Ciudad Juárez, México. Actualmente está adaptando sus libros "World of Vamos!" a una serie animada de televisión con Silvergate Media y Mercury Filmworks.

Join author and illustrator Raúl The Third as he discusses his book ¡Vamos! Let’s Go Read!. Meet Little Lobo and friends as they explore their library's Libro Love Book Festival! From cookbook demonstrations and comics workshops to mask making and language classes, this library has something for everyone and Little Lobo can’t wait to show you.  A draw along is planned, drawing supplies and paper are recommended. 


Please note that we will be hosting Raúl the Third twice on this date, once in Spanish and in English. Be sure that you are registering for your preferred format.


About the Author: Raúl The Third is a New York Times bestselling and three-time Pura Belpre award-winning illustrator, author, and artist living in Boston. His work centers around the contemporary Mexican-American experience and his memories of growing up in El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. He is currently adapting his World of Vamos! books into an animated television series with Silvergate Media and Mercury Filmworks.

Teddy Bear Picnic

You are invited to a Teddy Bear Picnic ! All across the country, children and their teddies will be getting together in July for snacks, stories, and activities, and we at the Wellesley Free Library are no exception! Join us for this forty-five minute program. We’ll listen to books about bears, sing a song or two, share a tasty treat, and make beary crafty creations. Bring your teddy and a blanket to join in on the fun! We will be eating our snack outdoors, weather permitting. This program is for toddlers, preschoolers, and parents/caregivers. Please notify staff of any necessary accommodations. 


Drop-in, no registration required.

Storyteller David Bates

Davis Bates' performances are a mixture of family, Native American, international and regional songs and stories.

Davis' traditional and participatory style of telling empowers and encourages audiences of all ages to join in the fun, and to take the stories home with them to share with others. He also encourages listeners to find stories in books, and to remember and tell stories from their own family and cultural tradition.

Second (First) Friday Craft at Barton Road
