Dear Workshops for Warriors Supporters,
I recently returned from a media tour in New York City where I was honored to speak about Workshops for Warriors at the prestigious
SALT Conference. The theme of this year’s conference was
empowering big ideas and Workshops for Warriors’ unique mission and story was shared with some of the most influential global players in finance, technology, and geopolitics.
In my talk, I touched upon the significant impediment to the success of the proposed infrastructure bill. Although President Biden’s infrastructure bill is well-intentioned, and desperately needed to reinvigorate American manufacturing, it is based on the incorrect assumption that we have the trained people to fill newly created manufacturing jobs. The missing cornerstone of the plan is a nationally scalable training program like Workshops for Warriors. This message was well received by the SALT attendees and opened the doors to numerous interviews and strategic conversations which we believe will support our ability to change more veterans’ lives.
We also held our third
Fireside Chat with Meghan West, President of CNC Software, the company behind Mastercam. It was engaging and chronicled the history of their formidable support for Workshops for Warriors.
There is an atmosphere of excitement at WFW as we approach a major milestone, our 1,000th graduate. With graduates working in every state of our nation, and with supporters like you behind us, we feel confident our course is true.
It’s time to retrain our veterans to make America the world’s manufacturing superpower again and with your continued support I know we can accomplish this noble task together.
Respectfully,
Hernán Luis y Prado
