MOTHER’S DAY GIFT HACK
When we created the Heart of Durango Dollars gift card, we thought we were inventing something useful that would keep more shopping dollars local. Little did we know, we created the easiest gift to give in Durango. Show the mother in your life you care this year by presenting her with a Heart of Durango Dollars gift card, currently accepted at 85 of the best local businesses in Durango. She gets to choose where to spend it to make it the Mother’s Day that she wants. Her options include Zia Taqueria and Zia Cantina, Affordable Framing on Main, Urban Market, Serious TX BBQ North, Durango Olive Oil Company, 2180 Lighting and Design, 2nd Ave Sports, Maria’s Bookshop, and so many more. See the full list of businesses and purchase your gift card now at DowntownDurango.org/Heart-of-Durango-Dollars.

MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
Nearly $100,000 in local spending has been generated so far through BID’s Spring Rewards program! As of this morning, there are still 87 rewards to be claimed. Earn local spending money back when you shop, dine, access services, enjoy attractions, stay on a property, or simply spend money at any of more than 350 eligible businesses during the month of April. Once you reach your chosen spending level, submit your receipts at DowntownDurango.org/Spring-Rewards where you will also find all contest details and the list of eligible businesses. In return, BID will buy you a Heart of Durango Dollars gift card. Spring Rewards is presented by Alpine Bank.

A NOTEWORTHY VINTAGE
The Durango Wine Experience kicks off this Friday, April 25 with the Walkabout Durango Tasting. Featuring ten Downtown locations and hundreds of wines, the Walkabout date also marks our fearless leader’s 58th trip around the sun: make sure to say cheers to Tim while he attempts to age as gracefully as a fermented grape this weekend. We also hope to see you at the Grand Tasting in Buckley Park on Sunday. The Durango Wine Experience is brought to you by the Community Foundation Serving Southwest Colorado, and festival proceeds go toward supporting our local nonprofit sector. Check out all the participating vendors, festival locations, and purchase your tickets at DurangoWine.com.
