WHAT'S YOUR NUMBER?

Have you ever taken an Enneagram personality assessment? It's a fun and very accurate way to learn your strengths and weaknesses. With the Enneagram test you get assigned a number and with that number comes your characteristics. This helps you understand how to relate better to others.

Once registered and the list is complete, I will get the link and forward it to you all. Do the test and bring that information to the luncheon and let's have some good conversation! I am a 9 by the way and so is the instructor!

Executive Coach, Tom Krause, from Five Capitals business coaching, is coming to share his expertise with us in how to understand ourselves so we can be good leaders.
FRESHLY PICKED FROM THE CHAMBER FOR YOU……

We have a new feature on our website that’s all about you as a Chamber leader in our community! On the landing page, there is a spot for a one-minute video, some content and link to your website (Limelight #1). Your image would be one of the 5 that roll through the top as people come to our website. This promotional opportunity would cost you $350 for a month, which includes the professional creation of your video, that is yours to keep to use as you want internally. We get over 5600 webpage visitors a month. You can’t beat that!

Down a few scrolls on the page, for $100, is a highlight opportunity that will have an image and a link to your website (Limelight #2). This is available monthly as well if looking for a lesser cost way to promote your business.

We want to help showcase our member businesses, but we didn’t want typical advertisements on our webpage. Videography is a great way to share your business with others – it’s colorful, it’s engaging and it’s real time! Jeremiah Schmid, our Chamber member videographer, will come to your place of business and make it really easy and comfortable to produce a spot. Again – that and any images are yours to keep for your own social media purposes.

Lillians enlisted for the month of May, so go out to our website, BuffaloChamber.org, and see what it would like to have Limelight #1 or Limelight #2. Normally – they would not be the same business – but we wanted to show you a live example of what the Limelight options can do for you!

AMBASSADORS ON THE MOVE
PRECISION PRINTS
402 7th St NE
763-682-4489

The Ambassadors popped in to visit with Mandy at Precision Prints to hear about all the great things that Precision Prints can do. Tom and Cathy Jorgenson and their son Darby own the print shop, but Mandy is the one most often seen behind the desk and answering the phones. Mandy has been there 20 years of the 41 years that the business has been in town. It is Wright County's oldest and largest printing company.

Mandy shared that the best thing about Precision Prints is that they do everything in house - from start to finish - from idea to end result - they follow it all the way assuring that your desired outcome of whatever it is you are having printed, meets and exceeds your expectations.

They started out doing business cards, letterhead, postcards, flyers, pocket folders, even wedding invites. Now it's all that plus more, with brides coming in with Pinterest ideas for Mandy to duplicate. Think stickers and labels, raffle tickets and buttons, vinyl lettering, laser checks, posters and more.

Mandy has done a lot of our work here at the Chamber! You will see their signage at our golf tournament, our sandwich board inserts, and many of our flyers. The design is great, the turn around time great, and the price is great! What more could you want! They also deliver for free.

Mandy, when asked what her favorite type of thing is, said she likes more challenging larger projects - bigger brochures and catalog projects. She enjoys seeing it all come together and I have to say she is very patient. There are times we change our mind here a time or two or ten and she always comes up with the winner!

Thanks for letting us pop and thanks for being such an icon in our community!

A perfect selfie of our group at Applebee's last Thursday. Thank you Cassie for continuing to serve up wonderful appetizers. We all left full and happy! If you haven't been to Applebee's - the service and the menu options are delightful! Their carside to go ordering is very popular - get real food fast! Did you know they also do catering - with party platters of sandwiches, salads, pasta and party wings? Thanks Applebee's for being in our neighborhood!
BUSINESS NEWS
FINALLY A DEAL TO STAVE OFF UNEMPLOYMENT TAX HIKE FOR EMPLOYERS. FRONT LINE WORKERS/ESSENTIAL WORKER BONUS ALSO SIGNED INTO LAW.

Businesses have long been lobbying legislators to act and finally they have had a breakthrough after months in stalemate. Because this law was enacted after the March 15 deadline, the MN Chamber worked to ensure refunds or credits for quarter one overpayments as well as a grace period for businesses to remit these payments were included in the final package.

Due to the delay in enacting the UI fix, there's some confusion from employers on how the fix impacts their business. CLICK HERE to view the guidance from DEED. The Chamber will continue to share resources as they become available. Doug Loon, from the MN Chamber of Commerce says "it's long overdue news - that employers have enough challenges with historic inflation and worker shortages". There will be $2.7 million going to replenish the UC trust fund and $500 million going out as bonuses to front line workers.

See Governor Walz signing the bill into law below and links to more information:

Also included in the agreement was bonuses for frontline workers. The final deal included a definition that covers nearly 667,000 workers and the appropriation was increased to $500 million in order to provide a nearly $750 dollar bonus to each worker. For information on eligibility, what this means for employers and more, CLICK HERE.  Many of you Chamber members will qualify and there is a responsibility to the employer to notify those eligible. An application is in the works. More to come!
