That's a Wrap on JBLA Training!
Dear ASMS Community,

This year I have had the pleasure of working with 49 ASMS juniors and seniors through the Jo Bonner Leadership Academy. These students participated in an all day retreat before the start of the school year as well as 3 Tuesday evening training sessions once school started. They covered topics ranging from the 5 Exemplary Practices of Leadership to communication to humility. Outside of training, they helped the rest of their peers move into campus and have been assisting with assemblies and campus events. They have now officially graduated from JBLA, so the rest of this year they will be completing leadership reflections and a leadership interview project. In other good news -- many of these students were recently selected as Ambassadors, Peer Advisors, and SGA Officers!

The most rewarding part of working with this cohort of students is seeing how quickly they have put what they learned through JBLA into action. I am so proud of them, and I cannot wait to watch the positive contributions they will make to ASMS through their leadership. As we say in JBLA, "leadership is a gift that can be given," and I know these students will live that out this year.
