COVID-19 UPDATE #122
December 30, 2020
GOVERNOR INSLEE EXTENDS LTC INDOOR VISITATION PROHIBITIONS
Governor Jay Inslee today announced a one-week extension of the "Stay Safe–Stay Healthy" proclamation, along with the statewide restrictions imposed. The extension of the statewide restrictions will now expire on January 11, 2021. No changes were made in the proclamation aside from the expiration date. The proclamation provides that in long term care facilities, outdoor visits are permitted. Indoor visits are prohibited, but individual exceptions for an essential support person (reserved for cases when a resident is unable to participate in outdoor visits and when technology-based visits are not possible) or end-of-life care are permitted.

An updated LTC Safe Start Plan is currently under development for long term care settings. The updated plan should be released in advance of the January 11 expiration on statewide visitation restricts.

Read the full proclamation here. We will keep you apprised as standards are amended.
