PTSO Meeting This Week - Wednesday, October 21st
Our next PTSO meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 21st from 9 to 10:30am via Zoom. At this meeting, in addition to updates from the WHS Leadership Team, we will be kicking off our "Spotlight On..." Series which will be a monthly deep dive into the various departments at WHS with our amazing Department Heads. We are grateful to be starting things off with:

They will cover numerous topics about their departments including an overview of courses and electives, course sequencing and prerequisites, as well as department philosophies on grading and course level workload expectations. They will also share information about how their faculties are thinking through the challenges and opportunities present right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Calling All Spellers!!!
Are you looking for new ways to keep your mind sharp during these days of endless mask wearing and social distancing? Well, do we have the answer for you! The WHS PTSO is recruiting a team of three spellers to compete in WEF's 31st Annual Spelling Bee. This year's Bee will be held virtually on Thursday, November 12th at 7pm. All participants will attend from their own homes, and teammates will be brought together virtually for each of the rounds. If you are interested in spelling or just learning more, please email the PTSO by October 23rd. We will hold a lottery if we have more than three interested spellers. And don't forget - spelling is P-H-U-N.
Update from 2021 Wellesley Cotillion Committee
We regret to inform the families of our Juniors (Class of 2022) and Seniors (Class of 2021) that after much conversation, deliberation and investigation, the 2021 Wellesley Cotillion has been cancelled. At this point, with large gathering guidelines and restrictions established by the state limiting indoor capacity to 25 people, an event for 700+ students in January 2021 will just not be possible. We are in the process of assembling a committee for the 2022 Wellesley Cotillion, so that we can continue the tradition once the pandemic has subsided. Sincerely, The 2021 Wellesley Cotillion Committee
