The WHS PTSO strives to be here for you, our students and our school! Our mission is to support and enhance the educational experiences at WHS and to provide support for programs outside the school's annual budget. We can only do this with your help! The WHS PTSO is funded entirely by contributions from families in our school community.

Please consider making a contribution now using this link. We have a new goal this year: to have 100% participation from the families in our community. We can achieve this! Any amount is welcomed and appreciated.

If you missed our first PTSO meeting of the 2021-2022 school year, you may access a recording until October 17, 2021 using this link. Highlights include a presentation on recent changes in electives scheduling and an overview of the draft PTSO budget for this school year.

Our next PTSO meeting will be Monday, October 18, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:30 am via Zoom. Topics will include sustainable transportation options for school, how to get involved in local town elections and standards-based feedback. There will also be a vote to approve this year's PTSO budget. An agenda, meeting materials and Zoom webinar registration link will follow.

On Wednesday, October 6 at 7:00 pm, WHS Guidance will offer a virtual event on navigating the college process for students with learning disabilities. Here is the link to join the virtual event.

Please join the Wellesley PAC for the first monthly coffee on Thursday, October 7 at the home of Christine Mizzi at 16 Suffolk Road from 9:00 - 10:30 am. It is a nice opportunity for families with children receiving special education services to connect. Please email cdettwilermizzi@yahoo.com with any questions about the PAC. We hope to see you at a coffee soon!

The dates for the PAC coffees for the 2021-2022 school year are: October 7, November 4, December 2, January 6, February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5 and June 2.

Back to School Night will be held virtually on Thursday, October 7. Videos will be posted by 7:00 pm that evening on the WHS staff directory page.

Step Up Day will be on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. 9th graders will participate in advisory team building activities. 10th graders will take the Pre-ACT. 11th graders will take the PSAT. 12th graders will either complete the SAT or participate in college readiness activities. If your student will take one of these tests on Step Up Day, here is a link to register and pay for the test. The Wellesley Public Schools Covid-19 Dashboard is available here and provides up-to-date information on positive Covid-19 cases broken down on a school-by-school basis. Also available on the dashboard is this helpful flowchart published by the Massachusetts Department of Education for individuals who test positive, asymptomatic close contacts and symptomatic individuals at school.
