As I see our lawn slowly becoming more green, I have been reflecting on change. Change is one of those things that we can count on. Many of us say that we don't like change, but I think that is a little simplified. I do like SOME change. Spring brings new life all around us and that encourages me! While I, as most people, enjoy the comfort of "sameness", spring and all of its changes is a way that God reminds us of new beginnings and fresh starts. Please take this time to renew your faith and help Holy Family Radio in our mission to spread the Good News of Jesus and His Church. Tell someone about Holy Family Radio today!

Spiritual Advisor's Corner
Did you get whiplash looking at those skyrocketing gas prices at gas stations over the last few weeks? We're now paying $1/gallon more now than we were a month ago. How about grocery store prices? Everything is changing. How about service at our favorite restaurants? Is it getting better or worse? Is all change good?
Thank God we have a God who DOES NOT change. Our culture wants Him to "get with the times" and give us a break. It wants us to forget about our sinfulness, and live our own lives how we see fit! But we know what to expect from our God, and we know the Gift of Eternal Life that He gives us. Can you imagine if our God changed with our depraved activity? What kind of God would He be, reacting to human behavior? We have a God who forgives us of our sins, but certainly does not bend to them! He loves us and conquers our sins, and certainly doesn't adopt them for His own.
This Easter, we celebrate the fact that, by conquering sin on the Cross, He ETERNALLY gives us His Life. This is not a gift He decides to take back. After all, He does not change. He is not like us. But He loves us, and desires us to be with Him forever. So while we change -- and sin -- here on earth, He is with us and never changes, so that we can be sure that He offers us always His gift of Mercy, Love and Life. Let's revel in the fact that Our God never changes, so we can believe Him when He said that if we die with Him, we will live with Him! Happy Holy Week and Easter!

Update from Russ Fry
WHYF Community Relations Coordinator
Rfry@720whyf.com
It’s Spring and a time of renewal and new growth! As we watch God’s handiwork come to life once more, it’s time to reflect on our own growth. Are we being as generous with the blessings that God provided to us as we could or should? Do we have an extra bit of money available to us that we can spare each month? There is a wonderful opportunity for our personal growth this month. Holy Family Radio is having its Annual Benefit Dinner on Friday, April 29th at St Elizabeth Ann Seton church. You can share some of your blessings by coming out to the dinner. In exchange for your donation, you will have the opportunity to listen to our Keynote speaker, Dr. David Anders from EWTN Radio. Dr. Anders is the host of “Called to Communion” heard at 2 pm each day. Additionally, you can spend some time with Bishop Gainer who will be in attendance. Listening to these two individuals will be a very uplifting experience and provide fuel for your spiritual growth. You can purchase your tickets by calling 717-525-8110 or go to www.720whyf.com and acquire them online. Please don’t wait as the deadline for purchasing your tickets is Wednesday, April 6th. Please help Holy Family Radio in its mission to spread the Word of God. As Lent ends and Easter arrives, please prayerfully consider how blessed you are and consider sharing some of those blessings with Holy Family Radio as you continue on your faith journey. Thank you!

April
The month of April is dedicated to both devotion to the Eucharist and devotion to the Holy Spirit. This tradition has developed because Easter Sunday often falls in April, and when it does fall in March, the Easter season continues on through all of April. In essence, April is the month of Easter and during the Easter celebration, we remember the Eucharistic sacrifice Christ gave us and the baptism in the Holy Spirit, which would come after Jesus Resurrection.

Celibacy can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by circumstances.
While attending a Marriage Weekend, Frank and his wife Ann listened to the instructor declare, “It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other.”
He then addressed the men. Can you name and describe your wife's favorite flower?
Frank leaned over, touched Ann’s arm gently, and whispered, “Gold Medal All Purpose, isn't it?”
And thus began Frank's life of celibacy.
