APRIL 2024
As I write this, we are in the final preparations for our Annual Benefit Dinner. As a matter of fact, the deadline for reservations is TODAY, April 1st..... NO KIDDING! Yes, today is April Fools' Day. As I think about it, I remember all of the silly April Fools' jokes that my little brother and I played on each other when we were younger. Today, I think about the times when I am foolish on my own. It really comes easy for me! This sometimes happens when I make my own plans. I need to be reminded that the ultimate success is being faithful to God. The best chance of success comes when our plans are aligned with His Truth. The best way to be assured that our plan will be achieved is to be able to say "Thy will be done".

Proverbs 16:3 Entrust your works to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.

Update from Russ Fry
I was reflecting recently that Holy Family Radio has become a very active station. It seems that we always have something on the calendar. This month we will be starting to attend conferences again, beginning with the Council of Catholic Women’s Annual Convention at the Diocese on the 6th. The same day we be at the Women's Expo in Lancaster at the Wyndham Resort in Lancaster. We have our Annual Benefit Dinner at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel on the 12th. The Men’s Conference at the Diocese will be held April 20th. We always like to meet our listeners at these events, so please come out and visit with us. We would like to thank our Sponsors for the door prizes that they donated for the Benefit Dinner. Those sponsors include Bahret’s Religious Goods, Our Lady’s Rosary, Mt. Eagle Enterprises, and Corda Candles. We also thank Father Michael Grab for his generous donation. Please patronize all our Sponsors as they continue to support Holy Family Radio. A current list of our sponsors can be found below.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Easter came early this year, didn't it? We're not going to get the flowers that usually show up at Easter like we normally do, and we're not going to get the consistently warm weather like we usually get during this time of year. That's too bad.

I remember one Easter a few years ago, which also was very early. I was at my last assignment - St. Joe's in Mechanicsburg. It was freezing. But as I was walking to the church for Easter morning Mass, I noticed that four daffodils sprang up - the only daffodils or any other flowers on the whole property. What a beautiful gift!

Even better, where did they spring up? On the outside wall of the church, directly behind where the tabernacle with Our Savior's Body rested. Flowers sprang up in the one place where Life -- all Life -- lives. In the Sacraments!

Happy Easter: He is Risen, He is Risen indeed! Even better, this is not a one-day celebration. Easter is a reminder that the Risen Lord is shared with us each time we receive Him in the Sacraments! Thanks be to God for our Faith!
Fr. Sahd

April
The month of April is also dedicated to the Holy Eucharist, which is the Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ. The Eucharist is central to the Catholic Faith, as it represents the Real Presence of Christ in the world.
We never share your information with anyone.
We are very concerned with the privacy of our listeners.

This Month's Laughs
A religious education teacher was telling the Bible story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Explaining that when Lot’s wife looked back, she turned into a pillar of salt. Suddenly little Johnny interrupted, saying, “My mommy looked back once while she was driving,” he announced, “and she turned into a telephone pole.”

Why didn't Noah ever go fishing?
He only had two worms.
