February 2026

February is associated with love, and in the Catholic faith, this love reaches its fullest meaning in God’s love for us. As we approach the Lenten season (Ash Wednesday is February 18th) our hearts are invited to reflect on what true love means: self-giving, sacrifice, and service.

“We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19.

As we anticipate Lent, consider:

  • Where in my life is God inviting me to love more deeply?
  • Are there grudges, habits, or distractions I need to release to make room for His grace?
  • How can I reflect God’s love through patience, kindness, or a listening heart?

I wish to thank you for all your prayers and support regarding our move. We are broadcasting from the new location, but we are still not finished setting the place up. We have a small number of volunteers, making this process longer than I anticipated. We want to schedule a Dedication and Open House soon, but we need to finish the project first! Keep praying for our success. This is YOUR Catholic radio station. God bless!

As you read this, we might still be having some

technical problems with our over-the-air signal.

Our engineer and volunteers are still working out some

Spiritual Advisor's Corner

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are in a deep cold snap. It just doesn't appear that we are going to get out of it at any point. Will we ever?

When we're in winter, it's hard to imagine warm weather, and being without a coat. When we're in summer, it's hard to imagine that we'd ever be cold. We know winter exists, but we can't really feel it's "realness" when we're in another season.

Because we're in human flesh, it's hard to imagine Heaven. Sure, we believe it exists, but we think all kinds of strange things about it. We choose sin because it's more "real" than the greatness of Heaven, because we're in human flesh, and not Eternal Glory. After all, Heaven is fine, we're sure, but is it really worth fighting for? Aren't we just sitting on clouds or something? Wouldn't that get boring after awhile?

But Heaven is glorious, and spending an eternity with the greatness of God IS worth it. It is worth putting aside sinful pleasures and our erring ways. It's just hard to see. But Jesus and the other inspired writers in the Scriptures, the Tradition of the Church, the Communion of Saints, the presence of the supernatural ere in the natural, all tell us that Heaven is real, and is worth it. Let's keep fighting for it, so that we can be there! And let's fight to put aside the Hell that can only come from the sin we choose while we're here on earth. God bless you!

Update from Russ Fry

OK, we just had a major snowstorm! Is anyone else thinking Spring besides me? We have Punxsutawny Phil telling us in just a couple of days, the projected arrival of Spring. Here at our station, we just received the schedule for the Harrisburg Senators baseball season. I think that I'll start watching for the robins. But, as Ecclesiastes reminds us: "for everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." So, I'll try to be patient. Watch for the announcement of the Second Annual Night at the Ballpark. We will pick a day shortly so everyone can get it on your calendar. Until then, stay warm and God Bless.

February: The Holy Family

In February we honor the Holy Family. The Holy Family is the most perfect reflection of the love of the Trinity and sets before us the most perfect model of virtue for all Christian homes. In the words of His Holiness Pope Leo XIII, "Nothing truly can be more salutary or efficacious for Christian families to meditate upon than the example of this Holy Family, which embraces the perfection and completeness of all domestic virtues."

How to celebrate: Pray with (or for) your family during this month. At the start of each day, ask Jesus, Mary, and Joseph for the grace to follow their example of love and selflessness.
