March is the month we honor St. Joseph. Joseph’s life, though considered by many to be a hidden one, can actually be defined by action. When we contemplate the things he did, his part in salvation history can not be ignored. Many times, his role is overlooked by the significance of Our Lady. We need to be reminded of his important place in the story. St. Joseph's actions certainly speak louder than his words. While we don't have a single word that he said, we know his silence in Scripture is purposeful and intentional. We learn that there is grace and peace in stillness. For me, silence is hard. I need to be reminded of the importance and power of silence. This month, please take some time for silence and consider praying the Novena to St. Joseph. I have the link below.
Much is happening here at Holy Family Radio. Please make your reservation for our upcoming Benefit Dinner. I ask you to pray for our volunteers that keep us on the air. Also, please pray for our Business Supporters who help us pay our bills. Prayerfully consider becoming one our our monthly supporters so we can continue this important mission in honor of the Holy Family.

Update from Russ Fry
We are still in need of someone to help us out with a little bit of cleaning around the office on a routine basis. We would like someone to come in every two weeks to dust, vacuum and clean our rest rooms. It is very light work and would take an hour at most every other week. You can come whenever your schedule permits. Contact us at 717-525-8110. We are also hoping that many of our listeners and supporters will spend an evening with us on Friday, April 12th at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel. It is our Annual Benefit Dinner, and we would love to see a lot of you there. Father Wade Menezes, EWTN Host of “Open Line Tuesday” will be the Guest Speaker. This is an excellent opportunity to see and hear Father Wade in person. Reservations are $100 per person and can be made through our website. Just follow the link to our reservation page. Looking ahead, we will be attending the Women’s and Men’s Conferences at the Diocese and the Women’s and 50+ Conferences in the Mid-State. The first of those will be the Women’s Conference on Saturday, April 6th at the Lancaster Wyndham Resort. We enjoy attending these conferences and meeting our listeners. I hope that everyone has a Holy Lent in preparation for Easter.

Spiritual Advisor's Corner
Father Timothy Sahd
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Lent is about many things: prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Sometimes, a lot of weight is put on to the fasting portion of the Lenten observance. But even more should be our worship. The Stations of the Cross, and Sunday and Daily Mass should be our focus. But even more, Lent is not really observed unless we truly enter into the Holy Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil.
These liturgies allow us to truly feel the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord. Personally. So much of our Faith is "head knowledge." The Catechism and so many recent Catholic YouTube videos help us to understand our Faith. But we must also FEEL the impact of the Love of God. The Holy Triduum, and the liturgies of those days, allow us to do just that. I promise you, you will personally feel the power of the Eucharist at the Last Supper of Holy Thursday, and the abandonment in the Garden with the procession of the Eucharist. You will feel the Passion of Jesus on Good Friday. You will feel the joy of the Light of Christ during the Vigil.
If you've never attended these liturgies, I urge you to do so! We all benefit greatly from entering into these days with Our Savior, so that we too may feel the power of His Love and his Death and Resurrection, which gives us His Life!

March
Although not much is written in the Scriptures about the earthly father of Jesus and spouse of the Blessed Mother, we know that he was a holy and just man. He humbly accepts his role in salvation history and faithfully followed God’s will for him and his family.
St. Alphonsus Liguori is one of many saints who encouraged devotion to this holy man. He said: “We should, indeed, honor St. Joseph, since the Son of God Himself was graciously pleased to honor him by calling him father...If, then, the King of Kings was pleased to raise Joseph to so high a dignity, it is right and obligatory on our part to endeavor to honor him as much as we can.”

One Sunday morning as he arrived for Mass, the Deacon was met in the sacristy by the Pastor. "Deacon," he said sternly, "I've been told that you went to the ball game last Sunday instead of coming to Mass."
"That's a lie," said the Deacon, "and I have the fish at home to prove it!"
