MAY 2024
I am happy to report that our Benefit Dinner was a success! Check out the photos below. Thanks to all who came and supported this important event. We are now working to prepare for our Spring Pledge Drive "FORWARD IN FAITH". This theme was chosen to reflect the idea that we all must be moving forward in our faith journey. This includes our evangelization. Being a part of Holy Family Radio helps you fulfill this duty that we all have. The theme's second meaning refers to the fact that WHYF must continually be moving forward in our mission of spreading God's Word with better technology. Help us in our mission by making a pledge during the Drive!

Proverbs 16:3 Entrust your works to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.

Update from Russ Fry
Thank you to all who helped make our Annual Dinner a success! It was an enjoyable evening spent with our listeners and our speaker, Fr Wade Menezes. Hopefully, even more of our listeners will come to next year’s dinner. We also thank our listeners that visited us at the Council of Catholic Women’s Conference and the Men’s Conference at the Diocese. We have three more conferences in May: The York Expo Center for a Women’s Conference on May 4th, a 50+ Expo at the Lancaster Wyndham Resort on May 8th and a 50+ Expo on May 10th at the Hershey Lodge. Please come see us. We are also reaching out to attract more listeners at our next pledge drive happening May 13th to the 16th. It will also be a good time for our current donors to consider increasing their donations to our station. We will have many guests helping us with the Drive, including Bishop Senior. Tune in to listen to his message. Please continue praying for us and God Bless!

Father Timothy Sahd

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Do you notice how the temperatures just keep going up and down? One day, it is beautiful outside, and in the 70s, and the next day it's back into the 50s and there's a cold rain. These days, you need to have four different jackets lying out, so that you can get to them very quickly.

In fact, there are very few things that are steady and that we can count on. Everything seems to change all of the time. Gas and food prices. Our hair (mine, in particular). What's popular, or what's out-of-style. Our culture. Everything. It all changes.

But what does not change is our God. His Word is ETERNAL, and not based on time. Even though people's opinions change, and everything else seems to be moving, He does not. He is constant, so that we can count on what He says. If God changed, and we had to change based on His changes, we'd be out of our minds in confusion. But God is constant and reliable. He is ALWAYS there, not bending and twisting in the wind, but firm and steady. His Truth and His Love continue no matter what.

That is our God. He is always there for us. In a world that is constantly changing, He is the one who we hold on to in order to be anchored, and not blow away by the change of the earth. God bless you!

Fr. Sahd

This Month's Laughs
A man asks a Dominican priest, "Father, will you pray a novena for me? I want to be able to buy a Lamborghini...."

The Domincan asks, My son, what in the world is a Lamborghini?
"A fancy sports car, Father." Get out of here, that's an unworthy intention.

So the man goes and asks a Jesuit, "Father, will you pray a novena for me? I want to be able to buy a Lamborghini...." And the Jesuit asks, My son, what in the world is a novena?
