November 2026

November is a special month in the Catholic Church—a time to remember the saints, pray for our departed loved ones, and reflect on the promise of eternal life. November also reminds us to be grateful. As Thanksgiving approaches, we recognize the many blessings God has placed in our lives: our families, our faith, our friends, and the gift of each new day.

May this month deepen our faith, strengthen our hope, and renew our love. May we pray faithfully for the souls of the departed, cherish the people God has placed in our lives, and strive each day to become the saints He calls us to be.

We have so much to be thankful for here at Holy Family Radio. Thanks for your continued prayers and financial support!

Don't miss our next community building paint night coming up on November 10. More information can be found below.

God bless!

Spiritual Advisor's Corner

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The culture floods our brains with so much garbage. If you watch any TV, all you'll see is advertisements for political candidates. The ads are really crazy, and can get us mad. Then, if we watch any news, we see stories of governor's signing bills allowing abortion through the ninth month, and the potential for a firing squad execution of a murderer to be televised publicly.

What is going on? This garbage is all over the place, so much so that we may begin to think that this is normal.

It certainly is not. Our Faith in Jesus Christ and His Teachings tell us to fight against this culture by how we live. Holy Family Radio is a great example of fighting against the tidal wave of a society that fights to the death for misery and, well, death. Holy Family Radio helps remove us from the pull of the current to put us squarely back into the Faith. Thank you so much for your support and your goodness.

God bless you, and have a great month!

Advent and Christmas are

Just Around the Corner!

WHYF Christmas Painting FUNraiser

Excitement is in the air! Join us for an evening of fun as we paint either a Christmas porch leaner or a beautiful handbag to enjoy, or to give to someone special. Both of these use stencils, so this event is appropriate for all! Together you can paint mother/daughter matching bags, and the porch leaners could become a family effort.

The porch leaners are 6" x 48" sealed real wood for outside use. We have many designs you can pick from to reflect your Christmas spirit.

You have a large choice of stencils for the bags. One bag is a classy canvas polyester tote bag (14.5" x 10.25") with coordinating burlap-type material on end sides. The other bag is a classic large (18.5" x 15") cream tote bag with a black bottom. Both bags come with small coordinating zippered makeup bag.

Come and enjoy being a part of our extraordinary local Catholic radio station at Holy Family Radio's fundraising event hosted by Art for the Glory of God. It's an event like no other to help prepare for Christmas, and we want you to be there!

Thank you for supporting our mission, your support is invaluable.

Donate your vehicle to support Holy Family Radio

Holy Family Radio now has an easy-to-use program to alleviate all your woes in getting rid of ANY car, truck, RV, motorcycle, boat or trailer you have. Our partner, Vehicles for Charity, can take it off your hands and Holy Family Radio will reward you with a tax benefit for the selling price of your donated vehicle! It is fast, free, friendly and much better than a low cost trade-in or high repairs. If you are thinking of selling or trading in that old car, why not donate it instead? You can donate any vehicle from anywhere at anytime. You will be free from ALL the paperwork from beginning to end.

It is simple... All you need to do is complete an online donation form on our website at 720WHYF.com or call Vehicles for Charity at 1-866-628-2277 and every detail will be handled for you. Please note that some restrictions may apply. Best of all, your donation makes a difference and will go a long way in helping Holy Family Radio in our mission of Nourishing Our Catholic Family & Sharing Our Faith With Others.

Update from Russ Fry

November is a month of change as we transition from fall weather to shorter and colder days. We give thanks to God on Thanksgiving and start preparing for His son’s birth, possibly on Black Friday for many of us. Here at Holy Family Radio, we continue to change in small ways to make things better for you, our listener. We are currently working with our database to improve getting our thank you notes out to our supporters. We are also consolidating our mailing address to give you one location to mail your donations. Our address for donations is now P.O. Box 3051, Camp Hill, PA 17011. If you are mailing donations, please use our new address.

November: The Holy Souls in Purgatory

Major Feast: All Souls’ Day

As Catholics, we believe that the Church is made up of the souls here on earth, the saints in heaven, and the souls suffering in Purgatory. The souls in purgatory cannot pray for themselves and need our prayers and sacrifices to enter fully into the Beatific Vision. November is a set aside for the faithful to remember and pray for these brothers and sisters of ours.

How to celebrate: Visit the cemetery and pray for the dead. Not only is praying for the dead a spiritual work of mercy, but the Church also offers a plenary indulgence for those who do this during the first week of November.
