SPRING PRIMARY ELECTION
FEBRUARY 21, 2023
While there are no Town election races appearing on the spring primary ballot, there will be primary races to reduce the number of candidates to appear on the April 4th General Election Ballot for specific Northland Pines School Board positions and also for Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
A sample Primary Election ballot can be viewed two weeks before the February 21st election by going to MyVote.wi.gov, clicking on What's on my Ballot, and entering your name and address.
The polls will be open on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm at the St Germain Community Center, 545 Hwy 155, St Germain WI. Photo ID is required for all elections.
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may submit a request to vote an absentee ballot to their municipal clerk. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day and has resided in the ward or municipality where they wish to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered to vote to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued.
Making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail:
Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the upcoming election(s). You may make written application to the town clerk for an absentee ballot by mail, by email or at MyVote.wi.gov. Or you may apply in person at the clerk’s office during the In-Person Absentee Voting period listed below. A written request must include:
- Your St. Germain residence address
- The date of the election you are requesting an absentee ballot for
- The address where the absentee ballot should be sent (if different than your St. Germain address)
- Your signature
- A copy of your photo identification
The deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is:
5:00 pm on the fifth day before the election, Thursday, February 16, 2023
Absentee ballot voting in person:
Any qualified elector may vote an absentee ballot in the clerk's office at the St Germain Community Center in room 5 (enter via Town Offices Entrance) on:
Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 8:30 am – 10:30 am
Monday, February 13, 2023, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 8:30 am – 10:30 am
