EBSC Coach and Parent Tricia Casper |
It is with a heavy heart; we announce that long time EBSC coach and parent Tricia Casper passed on and is resting in peace.
Tricia was a friend to everyone she met. She made impressions that will last a lifetime with each athlete, coach, and member she touched during her years with the club.
Her willingness to give her time and kindness to the Elmbrook Swim Club community was unparalleled. The time, effort, and care she put into coaching our athletes during her fight with cancer was heroic, inspirational.
Tricia was the best of co-workers, the best of friends, the best of the Elmbrook Swim Club. Tricia will be greatly missed and greatly remembered. She was the greatest.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Casper family. Details regarding memorial services will be shared as information becomes available.

Annual Wisconsin Swimming Athlete Scholarship |
Scope:
To award Wisconsin Swimming Scholarships to active members of the Wisconsin
Swimming LSC who embody Wisconsin Swimming’s mission statement: “To champion an inclusive and collaborative swim community supporting members and families by providing opportunities for education, fun, leadership, personal growth and competition.”
General Information:
Two individual scholarships will be awarded annually to two graduating seniors who are
active members in the Wisconsin Swimming LSC.
Each scholarship is a one-time
$1,000 award which will be sent directly to the institution each recipient plans to attend
in the fall. Recipients must be well-rounded student athletes who have demonstrated
dedication to academics, school, service and other extracurricular activities.
Recipients must have demonstrated excellence in leadership, character and sportsmanship.
Eligibility:
To be considered for a Wisconsin Swimming Scholarship award, all of the following
requirements must be met. All applicants must:
● be registered members with USA Swimming and WI Swimming who
actively participates on their club team; and
● be student-athletes in good academic standing to become a high school
graduate in the current calendar year; and
● have plans to further their education by attending a four or two year
university, college or technical school, no later than the fall of the current
year.
Applications are due by March 15.
Awards will be announced and presented at the
annual awards ceremony.

A Team WI Opportunity!
2022 Multicultural Zone Meet
|
Attention WI Swimming Families,
Would your Athlete like the opportunity to represent Team Wisconsin?
Please join us in Evansville, Indiana at the Central Zone Multicultural Meet June 10-12, 2022.
All Wisconsin Swimming athletes with BB times or above qualify for this exciting opportunity.
This is a great way to meet swimmers from other WI Swimming Teams, to compete in a 50 Meter pool during long course season, as well as, form lasting relationships with other swim families outside of our LSC.
The fees are $100 for a Team WI Swim Cap, a Team WI T-shirt, all meet entires fees, an Athlete dinner with a featured speaker following the Saturday PM Session and Team WI coaching for the weekend.

2022 ConocoPhillips Outstanding Services Award Application |
Each year Local Swimming Committees have the opportunity to select a recipient for the Outstanding Service Award. This award, sponsored by ConocoPhillips, is presented to a volunteer in each LSC in recognition of service to swimming. Recipients of the Outstanding Service Award are selected by the LSC and receive the award and an Outstanding Service Award pin.
In recognizing the importance of volunteer work, United States Swimming and ConocoPhillips Company take great pride in honoring the role of the volunteer as an important investment in the future of all swimming athletes and the growth of the programs they represent. Previous Outstanding Service Award recipients are critical to the success of United States Swimming in Wisconsin.
The Outstanding Service Award was established in 1981 to recognize the invaluable contribution of volunteer service to United States Swimming. The Award is presented annually to an honoree named by each of the 60 Local Swim Committees. Selection criteria consider quality, level and years of volunteer service in elected or appointed positions from among the categories of administrator, official, and coach.

Safe Sport is committed to creating a healthy environment that is free from abuse for all members. As we continue with virtual learning opportunities throughout 2021, we will be increasing security measures to keep parents, athletes and coaches safe during trainings. All trainings will require individuals to register ahead of time.
In addition, we have enhanced our Safe Sport Trainings' security measures and will have the following in place:
Meetings will be locked
Athlete attendees will only have access to chat with hosts
Multiple USA Swimming Safe Sport staff will be on all trainings and will monitor participant video share
Frequent check-ins with attendees
Screen share and annotation capabilities will be disabled
Meetings will require registration and athlete training registrations will be cross-checked with USA Swimming member records
USA Swimming has enabled the At-Risk Meeting Notifier tool from Zoom. This tool searches the public internet for Zoom meeting information and checks the meeting's security settings. Zoom notifies USA Swimming if a meeting appears to be at high risk for being disrupted. This tool is enabled for all USA Swimming hosted Zoom meetings.

2022 USA Swimming Insurance |
USA Swimming is pleased to announce that we have successfully bound our renewals of general liability coverage, including sexual molestation coverage, excess liability coverage and excess accident medical coverage for 2022.
As in previous years, this coverage extends to USA Swimming, the USA Swimming Foundation, USA Swimming Local Swimming Committees (LSC) and USA Swimming member clubs.
For the general liability and excess liability coverage, we are switching to a different broker, Insurance Office of America (IOA). IOA is a full-service national insurance agency experienced in providing service to amateur sports organizations such a US Club Soccer, National Governing Bodies such as USA Triathlon and U.S. Masters Swimming, and several professional sports teams in the NFL, NBA and NHL.
Since 2015, IOA has provided the USA Swimming Insurance Marketplace with optional insurance coverages for member clubs. In 2016, IOA launched a Workers’ Compensation program for member clubs, as well as a Directors and Officers Insurance online quoting platform. Also, in 2019, IOA took over the corporate management liability insurance program for USA Swimming.
Even as experienced partners, USA Swimming and IOA want to ensure this transition is as seamless and as easy as possible for you. We invite you to reach out for assistance at any time. Contact details can be found in the insurance packet, accessed below or by visiting www.usaswimming.org/insurance.
Beyond reading the insurance packet, one important change we wish to highlight for you is the new process for requesting additional insured certificates of insurance. IOA requires LSCs and member clubs to request additional insured certificates from IOA directly. This can be accomplished by submitting a form either:

MAC swim coach, Connor Keith, is currently recovering from a serious injury from a fall. He is at the UW Hospital Neuro ICU. He is in good hands and receiving the best care possible. Please keep him in your thoughts and hearts through his recovery.
The Keith family has long been a staple in the Wisconsin and Madison area swimming community. As swimmers, officials, and coaches, the family has become a familiar sight at meets from club to high school to All City. Wisconsin Swimming would like to do what we can to support a fellow, long time member of our swim community that is in need.
