President Alicia Holloway Pens Letter to Sedgwick County Commissioners On Reopening Economy
Thank you very much for including WIBA in the meeting this morning. You and the other commissioners received some excellent feedback and suggestions. I understand the next week will require much heavy lifting as you craft guidelines for all of us to follow.

Our small business owners will do whatever is necessary to keep their employees and customers safe. They just need to know what that is. As every day passes, their ability to recover from this shut down becomes more difficult. The economy functions because we can meet with each other, give presentations to current and prospective customers, get together for breakfast, coffee or lunch – to welcome customers in our doors. To enjoy our wonderful cultural and art events. To shop stores and buy for our loved ones. To invite friends and family to visit us in Wichita.

Please don’t hesitate to call me as you craft the much-anticipated guidelines for re-opening our economy. Our members fully support both the City and County management and look forward to re-opening their businesses in the safest manner possible.

Kindest regards,
Alicia Holloway
WIBA President
