Describe your role & what you love about it.

As the Human Resources Director for Field Operations in Columbus, Ohio, I am afforded the opportunity each day to lead, service and support over 1,000 employees. Understanding both the goals and expectation of the company as well as the needs of the employee, helps me as a leader, not only to the workforce and my team, but the customers and communities in which we serve.

How have other women inspired you or helped shape your career?

I am inspired daily by so many great people and have had the opportunity to work with, and for, some of the most inspirational female leaders within and outside of the industry. Specifically, HR leaders and peers, as well as those in Field Operations and Customer Care.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

This is a great question…although it really is no secret, I am an avid basketball fan. My father was a huge LA Lakers fan, and although at the time I felt obligated to watch with him, this created great memories and bonding for me and him. Little did I know my future husband would be just as passionate about the sport and share in the enthusiasm of the game with me. My adult sons both played through high school and college, and one has gone on to play professionally.

Why do you think WICT is important?

WICT has been instrumental in my development as a female leader and provided great networking opportunities with other industry professionals. It has also allowed me to influence and mentor rising females in the industry.

Where do you hope to see the WICT GO chapter accomplish this year?

I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of the development and growth of WICT Greater Ohio chapter over the past 12 years. The chapter is flourishing and each year I am in awe of what the current leadership has been able to accomplish. The chapter is ever evolving and I am excited about the direction in which we are headed.
