Dear Valued Member,
Welcome to the 2019 Winter Edition winter 2019 edition of the WICT Greater Ohio Newsletter! In this issue, we bring to you a preview of our year to come, updates on events from WICT Global, a welcome from our Board Members and exciting chapter news.
As the new year begins, we want to take a moment to reflect on all of our accomplishments from 2018. The Greater Ohio Chapter was recognized for two prestigious awards from Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).
“WICT’s 24 domestic and international chapters are an essential touchpoint for our members across the globe, enabling them to foster relationships and develop lasting connections to support their growth as leaders,” said Jen Neal, EVP, Marketing, Executive Producer, Live Events, E! Entertainment, and Chapter Development Chair on the WICT Global Board of Directors. “Our honorees, both individuals and chapters, are exemplary representatives of WICT.”
The Greater Ohio Chapter received:
- WICT Most Improved Chapter for chapter growth and development from the previous year.
- Inspire and Others Will Follow Award, which honors chapters who helped their members achieve their full potential by achieving 90 or more points on the 2018 WICT Model Chapter Business Plan, was presented to WICT Carolinas, Florida, Greater Ohio, Greater Philadelphia, Heartland, Midwest, New England, New York, Pacific Northwest, Rocky Mountain, Southeast, Southwest and Washington DC/Baltimore.

and set the wheels of change in motion. Progress is never made by standing still or by relying on the same old ideas. As a leader you must push the envelope to transform our industry with innovative concepts that are bigger and better than ever before. Take initiative. Raise the bar. Demand equality on all fronts and embrace diversity. Above all, never accept less respect than you offer others, because change can only take hold if it is grounded in respect.
