All Hallow's Happy Hour
October 29, 4:30-5:30 PM ET

Gather round, WICT Philly witches & warlocks, for fun fall vibes in our next virtual networking event!

Mix yourself up a spooky cocktail and get ready to mingle on Microsoft Teams. We'll meet there and get assigned randomly to smaller breakout rooms, where we'll spend the rest of the hour catching up and socializing, discussing whatever's on our minds—with a backup list of topics provided, just in case.

Feel free to come as you are, but there are two $25 Amazon gift cards to be awarded to the participants who show the most Halloween seasonal spirit. So if you're feeling festive, dress up in a costume or decorate your work space, but we hope you can join us either way. We can't wait to see your faces.

Meet Rajee Padmanabhan: Senior Manager, Software Development & Engineering at Comcast Freewheel!
What do you love most about your job?
I am an engineer at heart. At Comcast Freewheel, problem solving and finding solutions are at the heart of what I do on a daily basis as part of a team working on the ingest, processing, and distribution of creative content. Each day is a learning experience, exploring new technology and applying it in the advertising domain. I am grateful to work in an org where the leadership has facilitated an empowered environment, wherein I feel my voice matters and is heard.

How have other women helped shape your career?
My mother, who was a math teacher, quit work after marriage and children. But she started tutoring later in her life, making a real difference in students' lives and having a rewarding second stint at her career. Her curiosity and intellectual engagement are constant inspirations to be a continuous learner in my career. My classmates and fellow alumna from my undergrad school, College of Engineering, Trivandrum, have been a thoughtful cohort who act as a sounding board for career-related decisions.

Outside of work, what’s something you’re passionate about?
Indian classical music has been an abiding passion. Love writing and road trips. Encouraging/mentoring girls in technology is a cause I deeply care about.

What do you value most about your WICT membership?
WICT provides a way to engage with, learn from, and be inspired by a community of women who have walked the walk and generously share their knowledge about the industry domain I work in.
