What's New?

WIHA Website

WIHA is excited to announce the launch of our brand new website with enhanced features for both consumers and professionals! For program facilitators and providers, there are some important steps to accessing your program materials:

We will NO LONGER be using the login information that you were provided after completion of your facilitator training. Instead, you will create your own, personalized login for the new site to get access to the materials for the programs for which you 1) hold an active facilitator certification, 2) are a master trainer, or 3) are a program provider.

To do this, please visit: https://wihealthyaging.org and click Login on the right side. Here, you will see it says “See instructions for creating a login here Please click on ‘here’ to view & follow the instructions.

Please note that WIHA staff will verify your credentials and then grant you access. This process may take up to 48 hours. Please be sure you are registering well before an upcoming workshop.

Once you have been granted access, you can navigate to our website and click on “For Professionals.” A short video pops up (see above) to help you navigate the site.

In addition to re-organized program material, the site contains new information and features designed to support older adults take control of their health. This information can also be used by local organizations for distribution in their areas.

We hope you find the new website useful and full of great information! If you have any trouble or need assistance, please contact Erin Eggert.

WIHA's Expanding Role in Healthy Aging

Thanks to all who joined us for Office Hours on September 13th where we discussed changes at WIHA and steps we're taking to address challenges to providing programs. In addition to the training, coaching and technical assistance we offer providers to support both in-person and virtual programming, we have also undertaken a survey to identify barriers to participation in evidence-based programs to uncover and find solutions to recruiting challenges.

With a focus on increasing demand for programs, WIHA will also begin direct communication with consumers to engage and motivate them to play an active role in their health and raise awareness of the local and virtual programs available. This communication - initially, in the form of a newsletter but supported by the WIHA website and social media - will start in early 2023. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
