WIL Collaborates with HIAS on Service for Refugees Settling in Philadelphia Wil‘s service committee is embarking on a pilot project to welcome refugees to Philadelphia. WIL members will shop Amazon to contribute to welcome baskets for refugee’s basic needs. Also in collaboration with HIAS, WIL members are volunteering to provide babysitting services to refugees who are required to appear in immigration court. Buddy Membership Program Announced All new members do not have to go it alone. Current members are volunteering to buddy up with the newbies to help them get involved with WIL committee work and feel comfortable participating in programs and parties. The membership committee anticipates that through this new approach the fabric of WIL will strengthen and new friends will be made.
