A desperate parent comes to ACO, fearing they will lose their home or not have a safe, warm place for their family to sleep. Will you be the reason they become homeless?
The local food pantry is short on supplies and staples for families to receive essentials and groceries. Will you be the reason their children go hungry?
A mother is in need of diapers for her baby and expensive items such as laundry detergent. Will you be the reason she can’t keep her child clean and healthy?
A young adult is willing to work and wants to learn new skills to find gainful employment but needs guidance. Will you be the reason that holds them back from financial stability and a hopeful future?
The week before school begins a young student has no new supplies or backpack due to the added expense her parents just cannot afford. Will you be the reason she is ashamed on the first day of school without the necessities to learn?
These are hard questions to ask ourselves. These are the questions the ACO Staff face each day when families across Collin County reach out to our organization for vital assistance and support.
ACO’s annual GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE campaign kicked off last month, asking our neighbors to be the reason we can prevent these tragedies and provide hope to families in our community. The campaign is off to a slow start and we have a hefty goal to reach before the end of August. So I am asking you- Will you be the reason?

Be the reason a desperate parent gets financial help with their rent and utilities to stay in their home.

Be the reason that a food pantry is stocked with groceries for children facing hunger.

Be the reason a mother leaves in tears of appreciation for the diapers and laundry detergent she couldn’t afford.

Be the reason for the smile on a child’s face when she sees a brand-new backpack and supplies for her first day of school.

Be the reason a family sleeps safe, warm and fed in their home tonight.
- Be the reason that a community resource like All Community Outreach continues to open doors for programs and services to prevent hunger and homelessness in Collin County.
It’s such a simple ask for a complex problem that our friends and neighbors are facing. With financial gifts from our community, we can ensure that families are safe, children are fed, and resources are available to help with the critical programs, services and resources they need.
Between now and the end of next month, ACO needs thousands of dollars to provide a path to security for hundreds of local families. So, I ask once more? Will you be the reason a parent sleeps soundly tonight knowing they will not lose their home? Will you be the reason a child wakes up with a full tummy?
Will you be the reason that Collin County is the most kind, compassionate and generous place to be in our neighbors’ times of need?

If each of you were to donate ONLY $25, we would more than meet our annual goal with $250,000 to prevent hunger and homelessness! If half of you give $50, we still succeed.
