WILPF members, thank you to those who ran for office, and thank you to all of you who cast ballots in our recent WILPF elections. We realize, it seems like it has taken forever to get these results to you. Because of the prior elements of the election process schedule, not to mention delays and logjams, the earliest that the ballots could be counted was December 21. Sensibly, the Santa Cruz branch (thank you, Santa Cruz!) opted not to forgo holiday celebrations and did the counting on January 4, the first weekend of the new year.
For 2025 we’ll try to move the whole operation – including nominations and applications – to earlier, to allow counting to take place in early December.

Current Leadership Opportunities
The Board is also seeking applicants for three positions:
- Alternate to the WILPF International Advisory Board: This position is open. The remaining term for this office about 1 ½ years, providing a good opportunity to learn more about national and international work.
- Board Secretary: This Board position will become open as of the January 25, 2025, Board meeting. The remaining term for this office is two years.
-
Peace Seekers and assistants to the Peace Seeking Procedure: As part of our national-level dispute resolution procedure, WILPF US seeks members with a background in mediation, conflict resolution, and/or other “peace seeking” approaches. Additionally, members without that background are urged to volunteer to assist with the administrative aspects of the Peace Seeking Procedure.
