Happy Heart Month

Presidents Message

February is the month

we celebrate love, but shouldn’t we celebrate

it all year long? Sometimes the best expression of love

is to surprise someone with an unexpected gift. That special gesture creates a long-lasting impression.

But gifts don’t have to be monetary or material items. One of the gifts I’m grateful for is from Jan Adams when she and other ladies established WINS, they created a very special networking group. Recently Jan commented how a large portion of her business

is from WINS members. Networking is what WINS

is all about. The friendship and, business

relationships are something to be cherished. I urge each

of you to reach out to a fellow member and share a little more about yourself, why you joined WINS and successful methods you’ve incorporated in your business.

The friendships you form will be a gift you will always appreciate!

Warm regards, Jan

Jan Adams

As most of you know

I am one of the founding members of WINS

which was established

in 1980.  One of my biggest rewards was to see my daughter Darci become President of WINS.

My other daughter, Stacy, lives and works

in Simi Valley. Between my daughters and step children, I have 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Needless to say I have stock in Hallmark.. I have a shelf at Shop Around The Corner in Simi Valley on Valley Fair, where I sell antique items that families especially of seniors don't want. I try and give them a new home. I love decorating, entertaining and giving dinner parties. Since Bob's passing I travel quite a bit from visiting friends in Ga, Id, Or, Northern Ca. and love cruises.

I’m still very active in Real Estate! I just closed two, have one in escrow, a new listing and renewed my license.

After 43 years I still believe you’ve Got To Love What You Do!

February Newsletter Spotlight Member: Liz Bystrom

Hi, I’m Liz from New York Life. I’ll be serving as the Treasurer Elect for WINS.

How exciting to be part of a dynamic group of

business women ready to lift each other up as we learn and grow.

Before New York Life, I had a rewarding career at World Savings first as a Branch then District Manager.  I enjoyed being a stay at home Mom for my son John and daughter Catherine.  I was married for 26 years, but sadly, lost my husband Fritz to Cancer.

As a widow, I knew I wanted to work for a company that had a mission to help other families secure their financial futures for the ones they love. Working at New York Life as an agent enables me to use my life experience as my “Why”. Why buy life insurance? It’s because you LOVE someone. Tell me, “Who do you LOVE?”
