  • School pictures were distributed during advisory last week. Pictures can still be ordered from the proof online For those who ordered pictures and don't like them, retakes will be Oct. 11. If your student was absent on the original picture day, they can take one during retakes Oct. 11.
  • Free tutoring with transportation through Potter's House will be offered for Woodland students every Tuesday from 3:40-4:30. Multiple tutors will be on hand to help in all subject areas, and snacks will be provided. While tutoring is available to all, please note that transportation home will be limited to the first 10 students that sign up. Please contact Andrew Glade at or at 479-445-1286.

  • Woodland will hold its Jersey Night Dance Fri., Oct. 11 from 7-9 p.m. in the Woodland cafeteria. There will be music, games, dancing, food, and fun! Admission is $5 at the door.
  • Parents/guardians of 8th grade students: AR Children's Hospital sponsors a Project Prevent program so students in grades 8-12 can make a 30-second video about being tobacco free. Videos must be submitted by Dec. 15. for more info, go to and type Project Prevent in the search box.
  • The Elks Club is sponsoring a drug awareness essay contest. This year's theme is "Life does not rewind, choose life not drugs." The contest is  open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, and the deadline to submit entries is Nov. 30. Please see the link below for more info and entry form.

The All-Region Choir Clinic will take place Nov. 2 at Springdale High School.
Flu Shot Clinic Oct. 21

The Washington County Health Department will be at Woodland Mon., Oct. 21 to give flu shots to students. If you want your child to receive a flu shot, please have them pick up a flu shot form from the nurse's office or the front office. Both forms MUST be completed and turned in to the nurse's office by Fri., Oct. 18.

Woodland XC Wins 2nd & 10th at Chile Pepper XC Festival
Hard work paid off for Woodland Cross Country at the Chile Pepper XC Festival this last weekend! Girls came in 2nd overall, and boys placed 10th. Be sure to follow @woodlandxctf on Instagram for all the details.

It's time once again for our Fall Snack Shack

Please help us by signing up to bring goodies or volunteering for a shift! And, don't forget to send a few dollars with your student on Fri., Oct. 11!

Please plan on dropping items off the day before the sale at the Woodland office. If you plan to drop off the day of the sale, please deliver all items by 7:15 a.m. for setup.
