William Among 13 Recognized at White House

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month William Kellibrew was among 13 recognized as 'Champions of Change' at the White House for their efforts to end domestic violence in their communities.

WKF board, staff, volunteers and friends joined the Office on Violence Against Women (DOJ) and many others to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Great Hall at the Department of Justice, Main Justice Building.

The WKF will hold its 4th Annual Victims and Survivors Sleep Out for Peace this December 9th, 2011 in honor of those who have given their lives and those who continue to inspire us each day to end domestic violence.

Congressman John Lewis, Melanie L. Campbell, president & CEO, National Coalition on Black Civic Participation; Brandon Wallace, executive director & CEO, Colin Goddard, Virginia Tech Survivor in addition to many others braved the cold weather to bring attention to domestic violence.
The 'Sleep Out' will be held in front of the John Wilson Building at 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.
