Climate Change
Dr. Thea Iberall from Jewish Climate Action Network (JCAN) began focusing on the climate crisis in 2011 when she was doing research for The Swallow and the Nightingale, her ecofeminist novel about a 4,000-year-old secret brought through time by the birds. Thea has been published in anthologies and journals including in Blood to Remember: American Poets on the Holocaust. Her book of contextual poems, The Sanctuary of Artemis, traces the roots of patriarchal domination through poetry and essays. A storyteller and teacher, Iberall is an inductee into the International Educators Hall of Fame. Iberall has a Ph.D. from University of Massachusetts in computational neuroscience and is the author of three scientific texts. She has a leadership role in the Jewish Climate Action Network which works through education, activism, and organizing to add an urgent and visionary Jewish voice to the climate crisis.

Mirele Goldsmith, Ph.D. is founder and co-chair of Jewish Earth Alliance, which is a national advocacy network raising a moral voice on climate change, making a difference on Capitol Hill to the US Congress. Dr Goldsmith, an environmental psychologist, is an educator, activist and an expert in how to change human behavior to solve environmental problems and build a sustainable future! Working together with the JEA, they mobilize us all to stand up and raise a loud and collective voice for policies that reflect our values, while becoming a leader in this endeavor! Life as a climate activist began with the "Peoples Climate March in 2014".
Mark Elliot Papier, a Meteorologist with the Weather Channel for almost twenty years, since 2004, is now the Chief Meteorologist for AT&T. Mark is also known as "storm specialist" has Awards/Degrees in Meteorology, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Sciences and a well-known speaker of Climate Change. Rabbi Katy Z. Allen is the co-founder of the Jewish Climate Action Network (JCAN) and also the founder and spiritual leader of Ma'yan Tikvah - A Wellspring of Hope, which holds outdoor services all year long. For twelve years, Rabbi Katy, a board certified chaplain, served first as a chaplain at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and then as a hospice chaplain.
