Hello WMS Families,
It's hard to believe that we are already into the month of October. Mr. Relich and I want to continue to thank our students and our families and staff for a great start to the year and for doing our best to stay safe, while focusing on learning and growing together.
MAP testing will take place the next two weeks in ELA and math classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments for your student during that time. More information is below and we will share more information with families about your child's individual performance when that becomes available.
The WMS students and staff are working toward a celebration event for our local Veterans. If you have a family or community member who you would like to recognize, we are requesting pictures of the individual from their time of service. We would prefer digital pictures emailed to the school, however, if an original physical copy is what you would like to share, we will scan it and return it to you promptly (please include your contact information with the aforementioned photograph). Additionally, include the name, branch and years of service with the picture. Email digital pictures to [email protected]. Physical copies can be placed in an envelope and your child can deliver them to the office.
Finally, if you know of a local Veteran who would be interested in coming to the school or live-streaming virtually on November 11 to share their experience with our students, please contact Mr.Bily at [email protected].

It's that time of year again! We will begin MAP Testing (Math and ELA) in the next two weeks. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments for your student during that time. It is also important for students to have a good night's rest and a healthy breakfast. Be sure to come to school with a fully charged chromebook.
Math MAP Testing will occur next week on Tuesday (10/5) and Wednesday (10/6) in students' math classes.
Make-ups for Math MAP Test will occur on Thursday (10/7) and Friday (10/8/) during students' Connect classes.
ELA MAP Testing will occur the following week on Tuesday (10/12) and Wednesday (10/13) in students' ELA classes.
Make-ups for ELA Map Test will occur on Thursday (10/14) and Friday (10/15) during students' Connect classes.

We can't hide our Falcon PRIDE. Each month grade level and elective teacher teams will be nominating two students who have demonstrated exemplary PRIDE (Being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe) in the area(s) of character, academics, and/or showing growth. Students receive staff recognition and are rewarded with drawings for prizes. |

The photo retake day for WMS is October 12th and it will take place at Whitnall Middle School during school hours. This is for families who would want to retake their child’s photo, or for any student who did not get their photo taken during our original picture days prior to school starting. If you ordered a picture package, but would rather have a retake on this date, your child will need to bring the original package back on this date.

School fees, chromebook insurance fees (optional), and athletic fees are all accessible through your infinite campus portal. Please be sure to check that your account is current, as fees are required to be paid before students can participate in activities. This is also a good time to review your account and be sure all your information is up to date. Student Absences: .
Please report your students absence to the school by 8:00 a.m. You may use the Absence Reporting Form or call the attendance line at 414-525-8650. .
No call and no note will result in the absence being recorded as truancy. If a student has a medical/dental appointment, we encourage you to provide an excuse from the provider.
Appointments/Planned Absences
If your student has an appointment, special event, leaving early, etc. Please contact the office prior to the event so we can have your student waiting for you in the office. You may use the Absence Reporting Form or call the attendance line at 414-525-8650. . If the student will be gone more than two days, please utilize the Planned Absence Form
Infinite Campus is continuing to be used for progress reporting, attendance, and district messaging.
