Message from the PTA President, Dave Badanes
PALS Day for 6th Graders Was a Success!
Many thanks to the parents who volunteered to make PALS Day a success for our incoming 6th graders and their families last Thursday.
The 6th grade families who attended PALS day did not leave hungry! We served 55 dozen donuts & 7 trays of donut holes to over 250 rising 6th graders and their families!
Volunteer for WMS!
Everything we do is powered by parents like you who give a little time to make WMS a better place for our kids and teachers. While the easiest way to get involved is to join the PTA and contribute to the class fund, just as important, we need volunteers. The PTA supports the WMS community in a lot of ways, from helping run events like PALS Day, to funding Wolf Paw prizes and classroom grants, to recognizing our wonderful teachers, and much more. We can only keep doing this with your help.
First PTA Meeting of the Year - Sept. 16
We are pleased to announce our first general membership meeting of the year, on September 16th at 7pm in the WMS library. We have invited Mr. Boykin to present. This is a great way to get involved early in the school year, and we hope to see many of you there.
We still have named roles open, and we are always looking for volunteers to join the Executive Council. If you're interested, please reach out to me at president@wmspta.org.
Warmly,
Dave Badanes
