Join us on the Journey & Earn Three Hours of Co-op Credit

Thursday, February 6, 9 a.m. - Noon

Limited spaces available

Whether you're a long-time Wilmington Montessori School parent or just beginning to learn about Montessori education - it is time to step out of the observation room and into the classroom!

Even if you've attended The Journey in the past, there is more to discover each year!

During this event, you will:

Personally experience the Montessori educational process and better understand the teaching methods by getting hands-on with Montessori materials.
See first-hand how WMS prepares children for success in their educational journey.
Learn how each three-year program level builds and supports your child's development from introduction through eighth grade.
Open conversations with your child about classroom activities.
Realize the positive aspects of learning and succeeding at WMS.
Be more prepared to describe the distinction of a Montessori education to friends and family.
Earn three co-op hours!

Important Note - Because of the large amount of interest in this event, advance registration is required. We limit registration to ensure that the group is small enough that all attendees can interact with materials and have their questions answered!

2025-26 Re-enrollment Reminder

Complete your contract and deposit by February 14 to secure your child's spot for the 2025-26 school year!

The 2025-26 school re-enrollment deadline is two and a half weeks away. If you’ve already submitted your materials, THANK YOU! Your prompt re-enrollment helps us plan for the upcoming school year, including offering contracts to teachers in a timely manner.

As a returning WMS family, you have enrollment priority if you complete your re-enrollment materials by the February 14, 2025 deadline. We look forward to welcoming your family back to WMS this fall!

This year, several of our programs and classrooms were at capacity, and we’re projecting waitlists for the 2025-26 school year as well. To ensure your child’s placement for next year, it’s essential that we receive your re-enrollment contract and non-refundable/non-transferable deposit by Friday, February 14, 2025. After this date, any remaining spaces in our programs will be offered to new applicants. All families must complete re-enrollment through the FACTS Family Portal, even if you have already submitted a financial aid application.

We value your family and have planned for your re-enrollment. If you’re choosing not to re-enroll, please notify admissions@wmsde.org as soon as possible, or open your child’s re-enrollment link and click “Will not enroll” to inform our planning for next year.

The WMS Board of Directors, teachers and staff look forward to making 2025-26 another great school year with your family. Thank you for your trust in and commitment to WMS!

Reminder: Don't forget to submit your Co-op hours regularly!

As we approach the mid-point of the school year, it's a good time to check on your Co-op hours and make sure you are approximately halfway to your 20-hour requirement.

If you've earned Co-op hours by supporting your child's classroom, attending family education events (e.g., Curriculum Nights, The Journey or Lunch & Learns) or completing a school-wide Co-op job, you can record your hours via FACTS. You can also check FACTS to view hours that have been previously submitted.

To log your hours in FACTS (see screenshot below):

Log into your account on the FACTS Family Portal (Our district code is WM-DE).
Click "Family" in the left side bar, and then "Family Home."
Now, you will see your dashboard. Click "Add" under "Service Hours."
Enter your information, leaving "Note" and "Verified By" blank - these are for staff use. Click "Save."
Administrative staff will periodically review and verify entries.
If you are claiming hours for purchases, please submit your receipts by email to co-op @wmsde.org.
