Year-End Reminders

As you prepare for summer fun and relaxation, here are a few quick reminders to end the school year:

Important Schedule Information:

The last day of the 2024-25 school year is Wednesday, June 4. This will be a half day with dismissal at 1 p.m.

Please note the following:

• There will be no school or child care on the afternoon of June 4, EXCEPT for 2024-25 year-round (12-month) students.
• There will be no school or child care on Thursday, June 4, EXCEPT for 2024-25 year-round (12-month) students.
• On Friday, June 6, there will be no school or child-care for any students.

Camp Montessori begins on June 9. If you haven't already registered don't forget to sign up here! Some programs are already filled to capacity but limited spaces are still available for many ages and sessions.

Bloomz:

Please make sure you have downloaded any photos you would like to save from your child's class group/Bloomz portfolio before Wednesday, June 11. If your child is moving to a new classroom/program level or leaving WMS, you may not have access to their photos after this date!

Keycards:

If you are not returning to WMS in the fall and have a WMS keycard, please return it to the front desk in an envelope labeled with your child's last name on the last day of school, unless your child is attending camp.

Re-enrollment/Ongoing Communications:

If you have not yet re-enrolled for the 2025-26 school year, please do so as soon as possible. After next week, we will be sending communications (including this newsletter) only to enrolled families and those attending camp. If you are not returning to WMS but would like to remain on our email list, please email noel_dietrich@wmsde.org.

Co-op Hours:

Please submit all of your Co-op hours through FACTS (District Code: WMS-DE) by the last day of school. We will begin to bill families for incomplete hours the following week. If you have any questions, please reach out to Debbie at the front desk or email co-op@wmsde.org for assistance.

Year-End Family Survey - Complete by Friday & Earn One Hour of Co-op

Looking for one more Co-op hour? Want to provide helpful feedback that will shape WMS in the future? 

Each year, we conduct a formal survey of our families to inform our planning for the coming year. Your feedback is extremely important to us! Thank you to everyone who has completed the survey so far!

Please note the following: 

• Your answers are anonymous (unless you choose to include contact information) and confidential, so please provide your honest opinion.
• Please submit one survey per program level in which you have children enrolled (e.g., if you have a child in the Primary and 9-12 Programs, you would complete one survey for each, but if you have two children in the Primary Program, please submit the survey only once).
• Please complete the survey as soon as possible. The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, May 30.
• Co-op Opportunity: Each family may earn one hour of Co-op time for completing this survey. Please print (or take a screenshot of) the "Thank you" page that confirms your survey has been completed and email it to co-op@wmsde.org.

We look forward to learning more about how you view our school community. Your responses will help enhance Wilmington Montessori School and inform our plans for the future.

Summer Camp Registration Deadline - This Saturday, May 31

Have you signed up for Camp Montessori yet?

Spots are filling fast, and some programs are already at capacity for several weeks. The official registration deadline is Saturday, May 31—after that, we’ll finalize group placements, and any new registrations will be accepted only if space is available.

Need to make a change? May 31 is also the last day to adjust your child’s registration and receive a refund for any canceled weeks. Starting June 1, no refunds will be issued for cancellations. Switching weeks may still be possible after this date, depending on availability.
