A Message from Annual Fund Parent Chairs Tiphanie & Ray Cascella: Coin Drive Challenge & Annual Fund Kickoff Next Week!

Dear WMS Families,

Next week, we will have two exciting opportunities to support our students and school! Our Coin Drive Challenge kicks off next Monday, November 18, and it’s a fun way for students to get involved in giving back.

Here’s how it works:

Each class will have a coin bucket located in the lobby.
Pennies add points (1 point each) to your class’s total, while other coins (nickels, dimes, quarters) subtract points.
The class with the highest score by Friday, November 22, wins a donut party!

As our students participate in the coin drive, we are asking parents to participate in our Annual Fund Drive. This year, we are hoping to secure 100 family donations by Grandfriends’ Day on November 26! As an incentive, every gift that families make (including grandfriends) will count as an entry in a raffle to win the coveted Annual Fund Winner Reserved Parking Spot at the front of the school.

The Annual Fund supports things like classroom upgrades, financial assistance, outdoor learning, playground upgrades, and new materials and technology.

Together, let’s make a big impact for our school. Please encourage your children to bring in coins for their class and consider joining our family donors!

Middle School Morning/Classroom Observation

Thursday, November 14, 9 a.m.

All families with students in kindergarten and older are invited!

Experience middle school at WMS and discover what distinguishes it from other programs.

Lead Middle School Teacher Emma Mulrine and the WMS Middle School students will share the academic and experiential aspects of a Montessori middle school curriculum - running a business, exploring bigger ideas, broadening their perspectives, opportunities for service learning, and learning more about themselves as learners and as people.

Receive one Co-op hour attending!

Grandfriends' Day - Tuesday, November 26

Grandfriends are special people in our children’s lives—aunts and uncles, family friends, grandmothers and grandfathers, and even great-grandparents. Now's your chance to spend a fun-filled morning with your Montessori child and experience a glimpse into their daily school life.

Enjoy refreshments and activities, and work alongside the students!
