Introducing the New WMS Logo

This Saturday, we kicked off our 60th year with a small gathering of board members, alumni and current parents, staff and other long-time friends of the school. It was wonderful to welcome old friends, many of whom haven’t been able to visit us since the beginning of the pandemic, and to share many fond memories of the past six decades.

We also looked to the future, as we unveiled our brand new school logo (pictured at the top of this newsletter)! As we approached our 60th school year, we partnered with Metric Marketing to re-evaluate our brand and visual identity, including our logo, which has been with us since our 30th anniversary.

We began 60 years ago as a school for young children and have grown to include children through the middle school years. Our newly redesigned logo symbolizes that shift as we enter our seventh decade of providing an exceptional Montessori education to children from as young as 12 months old through middle school. The spiral shape embodies the concept of progress and mirrors the Montessori spiral curriculum. It can also be interpreted as a set of hands, surrounding a child at its core, imparting a sense of warmth, organic growth and community.

In the coming months, you'll witness the gradual adoption of our new logo across all our visual materials, starting online and extending throughout our campus and printed materials! Look for it as we share other ways we will be celebrating 60 years of WMS!
