WMU Night at Little Caesars Arena
Join us for WMU Night at Little Caesars Arena for the last Detroit Red Wings home game of the season TOMORROW, Saturday, April 6.


Hockeytown Cafe Rooftop

7 p.m. Detroit Red Wings vs. Buffalo Sabres
The first 2,000 fans who purchase tickets through our WMU ticket page will also receive a 2019 limited edition Red Wings baseball cap in WMU's school colors. 
Spring Commencement - April 27

The  ticket reservation  system for commencement is open. April graduates are able to reserve four (4) guest tickets through Monday, April 22 through their GoWMU account. A link is provided on the commencement website and included in an email sent to eligible students earlier this week. 

Please note:  All commencement tickets are allocated to the graduates and delivered electronically. No additional tickets are available for distribution. Guests without tickets may view the ceremony on a large screen in Brown Hall, room 2028. 
WMU graduation announcements, thank you cards and other items are available from  Balfour .
Reminders for Current Students and Families
The residence halls close at 7 p.m on Friday, April 26, but students are able to leave once they have completed their final exams

Students will receive information about moving out from their hall staff and here is a helpful video:

If you haven't filed your 2019-20  FAFSA , there is still time. Even though the Michigan priority deadline has passed, you may still be eligible to receive aid.  Apply   today.

Summer I financial aid applications are available on the Financial Aid website and Summer II financial aid applications will be available later in April.
Reminders for New Student and Families
  • Attend the final Admitted Student Event on April 12.
  • Send in the $100 Admissions deposit to confirm acceptance to WMU.
  • Sign up for housing.
  • Sign up for new student orientation (and make sure you are signed up to attend parent/family orientation).
  • Make plans to have final high school transcripts sent to WMU.
  • Remind your students to check their WMU email regularly.
Family Weekend and Homecoming 2019
Save the dates of October 11-13 for WMU's 2019 Family Weekend and Homecoming. 

Highlights of this special weekend include:
  • Pre-football game tailgate event
  • Bronco Football vs. Miami University (Ohio)
  • Sunday Brunch in the Valley Dining Center
  • Access to the Student Rec Center with your MyWMU Concierge Card
  • And much more!
Information will be available on the Family Engagement website in June and updated throughout the summer. In the meantime, we encourage you to r eserve your accommodations soon!
