Missions Update
May 22, 2020

Rev. Peter and Wilma Akright have received final approval to plant a new church in Weyauwega, WI., population of nearly 1700.  The discussion to start a new church began nearly five years ago with Peter reaching out to the Church Planting department. He and Wilma were in the process of resigning from AGWM where they served in North Africa for nearly 30 years.
Not ready to retire, Peter applied to become a U.S. Missionary with a desire to be involved in planting churches in rural America. The new assignment with U.S. Missions was approved nearly two years ago and the Akrights began to dream and process for Weyauwega.
The name of the church will be The Refinery. Plans for an official launch will take place in September of this year. Please pray for Peter and Wilma and for the team that they have gathered.
This is very good news!
