Dorchester students are working toward our school motto,

"Have a kind heart, a growing mind, and a Warrior spirit,"

by focusing on a specific goal each month. September's goal is teamwork.

Ask your child about Mrs. Marsich's read aloud video and how they can demonstrate teamwork.

All students and staff are invited to celebrate Warrior Fridays by wearing Woodcliff Lake spirit wear or blue/yellow each Friday.

Pizza Wednesdays 

The deadline to order pizza is TOMORROW with service beginning on 9/27. We still need some volunteers to serve pizza in the middle school. Please email wclpfalunch@gmail.com if you are able to help!

Enrichments

We are pleased to offer a variety of K-5 after-school enrichments this fall. Enrollment begins this Sunday, 9/17, at 6:30pm (K-2) and 7pm (3-5). Please click here for the course catalog, including registration info. 

Back-to-School BBQ

Our Back-to-School BBQ at Demarest Farms is next Friday, 9/22! Pre-sale tickets are available to purchase on our website until Monday, 9/18. Prices will increase at the door.

No Fuss Lunch

No Fuss Lunch is available weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays with new features this year including the middle school salad bar and Casa del Sol Thursdays. Orders are due by 9pm Sunday for the following week. Click here for more info. 

PJ Day to Kick off Pajama Parade

Our annual Pajama Parade begins Monday, 9/18, with a district-wide PJ Day! We’re collecting NEW women's and children's pajamas to benefit the Center for Hope and Safety. Donation boxes will be at the entrances of both schools until 10/6.

Ice Cream Wednesdays

Ice cream is back starting next Wednesday, 9/20 (please note, pizza begins 9/27). Options and nutritional information will be available on the website. All items are $1.

Dorchester Parents: Commemorate your child’s birthday with a donation to the library through our Birthday Book Program.

Spirit Week Pass

Support the 2024 Fifth Grade Class by purchasing a year-long Spirit Week pass, available for purchase on our website.

WCLEF

37th Annual Run for Education-Early Bird Pricing Ends September 30!

Join the WCLEF on Sunday October 8th for our 37th Annual Run for Education! This event includes a USATF certified 10K and 5K run, as well as a kids fun run. This year there will be entertainment for the whole family - food trucks, vendors, and kids activities. All runners receive a t-shirt and goodie bag and kids fun run finishers also receive a medal. All funds raised go back to our schools! Check out www.WCLEF.com for more details or sign up to run here.

WCLEF Kick-Off Meeting

The WCLEF invites new and returning parents to join our first monthly meeting on September 20 at 7:30 pm. This is your chance to make a direct impact for your child. Not only do we need your support at events, but more importantly, joining our team! Our meetings typically last one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes and include an update from the school district’s administration team. We have options for people to choose to attend either in-person or via zoom. All monthly in-person meetings are held in the WCMS Media Center. Come for a meet and greet with light refreshments at 7 pm! For the zoom link, please email info@wclef.com. We hope to see you there!

Do You Live Along the Run for Education Route?

If you are unable to register for The Run For Education, there are other ways you can participate! The WCLEF needs help with water stations and cheering runners along the route. The route map is available on our site. If you and your family are interested, you can learn more and sign-up through this link.
