The benefit of signing up for the WORKSAFE Program is, as a team (Owner, Contractors and CSSI) get together conducting a pre-construction meeting to develop site specific procedures that will provide best practices making it a safe environment for your employees. During these pre-construction kick-off meetings, we discuss what exposures are present during the course of the project and a plan of action to navigate these exposures. For example; Site Security, Medical Services, Emergency Action Plans and General Safety requirements. 

OSHA requires each company to have these plans in place, and that all employees in your company are informed. CSSI representatives can conduct thorough assessments of all aspects of the site utilizing a state-of-the-art Safety App / Reporting System developed and only utilized by the CSSI team ensuring that all requirements are in alignment with OSHA standards. WORKSAFE can provide a customized safety service unique to each project, owner and job site team.

Master Builders of Iowa and their preferred safety-provider, Construction Safety Specialists, Inc. (CSSI), share in the goal to make construction job sites a safe place by working to better educate contractors and their crews on proper safety programs and industry-leading practices. As part of this goal, MBI members are able to access an online library of Toolbox Safety Talks, which are included in their membership with the association. Member employees are required to enter their username and password to access this library, which can be requested by contacting Nichole Fry.

As a new offering, these Toolbox Safety Talks are now being extended to non-members as well, for an annual subscription price of only $95. Firms may select up to 52 different topics from a variety of categories in CSSI’s library of Toolbox Safety Talks, including but not limited to the following:

Once your selections have been made, you will be provided with a customized hard drive containing the 52 Toolbox Safety Talks topics. With the CSSI Toolbox Safety Talks, you will find a short explanation of each topic, along with a quiz to assist with content retention. There is also a sign-in sheet that can be passed around during the session so that you can record attendance and maintain in your files.

With the busy construction season winding down, we have scheduled the following OSHA 10 Hour courses to help our members and WORKSAFE clients keep their teams safe. We encourage companies to enroll all employees who have not yet attended this course, as well as those who have not attended an OSHA 10 Hour course within the past seven years.
