Good morning Austin!

We are absolutely honored to announce that the WORTH Center has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Clifford Skeen Award! This incredible honor, given by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) during their 30th annual awards ceremony, recognizes unwavering commitment to community corrections.

This is a momentous achievement for the WORTH Center—it has been thirty years since we last received this award. Thank you ODRC!

Winning the Clifford Skeen Award is truly a team accomplishment, and we owe this success to the dedication, passion, and hard work of our incredible staff across all levels. From administration to treatment, counseling, and security, every single member of our team has contributed to making this possible.

We want to especially recognize our leadership: Adam Blevins, Financial Director Chuck Honigford, and Clinical Services Director and Deputy Director Lorrie Wilson. Lorrie, with 27 years of devoted service to the WORTH Center, your dedication and love for this profession continue to inspire us all.

Over the past decade, we’ve worked together to transform the WORTH Center into an innovative, caring, and resourceful facility, providing our residents with individualized treatment, educational services, job readiness programs, and trauma care. We also extend our gratitude to our governing board, whose belief in our innovative approach has made it possible to serve our residents and counties in impactful ways. A special thanks to the local and national resources who provide additional treatment and support for our residents.

Finally, we want to express our deepest appreciation to our Executive Director, Brent Burk, for his visionary leadership. Brent, your commitment to lifting us all up and leading with care and purpose has truly helped us become the best we can be.
