Sermon Series:
"Together..."

This Weeks Message:
"Make A Difference"

Scripture: Matthew 5:13-16
From Pastor Gary

This Sunday is Father’s Day! What a privilege it is to be a dad. What a responsibility it is to be a dad. Isn’t it great that our Heavenly Father is perfect in all aspects of being our parent? I hope that all of you dads have a great Sunday!

VBS is right around the corner and we still have some needs. Please see the VBS announcement below in the WOW or in the bulletin the next couple of weeks.

Let’s be in prayer for the youth and Pastor Russ and Kim at Big Stuff. I hope they are having a great week!  They will be traveling home on Friday.

Next Monday through Friday, the church office will be closed!!! To make sure you read this correctly, I will repeat this: Next Monday through Friday, the church office will be closed!!!
In case of emergency, you have my number. Sheila will be on a much deserved vacation.

Go and Make Disciples!

Peace,
Pastor Gary

Press Play: Get in the Mix
Confidence is learning to see yourself the way God sees you.

Meal Time Q&A FOR KIDS: What is something you feel really confident in and something you don’t? Q&A FOR PARENTS: When was a time you didn’t feel confident in God’s plan but trusted anyway? How did it work out?

Take time as a family to memorize scripture: “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13, NIV Remember to post a video of your child sharing their scripture reading on the Harvester Family Facebook Page.
VBS Donations & Volunteers Needed
Vacation Bible School will be held the week of July 19-23. The hours will be 9:00 a.m. to noon each day. At this time, our VBS is already full. In order to have a successful and safe week, we are still in need of a few volunteers. If you are available to help that week, please reach out to Kristina Nast at kknast13@gmail.com. We are also in need of a number of supplies. You can find them on the rolling board outside of the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. Please take the top copy of the item(s) you are willing to purchase and sign your name on the second copy and leave it on the board. We thank you so much for your help!

Thanks for you continued support!
Hello Harvester! I'm still highlighting items we need to reach our target of 90 boxes. We need about 75 wooden rulers, 6 more 3-pack Singer sewing kits and 4 more Singer threaded bobbin sets. I marked each of these items a "high" priority on our Amazon list and they should be listed at the top.

Here's the link to check out our OCC List on Amazon.comhttps://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2MJIXAPCEKFDL?ref_=wl_share

If you're not an Amazon-er or are still hesitant to go shopping, please let me know and I'd be happy to do so for you. Just send me an email at Harvester.OCC@gmail.com or text to 813-598-1783 and we can work out the details.

June's collection items are "Toys." Just about anything goes except for war-related items such as toy guns, knives, military figures or camouflage items that can be worn and make a child look like a soldier. Colorful water pistols are acceptable however (see Amazon list). Liquid-filled balls are on the "don't pack" list because they can break open and ruin the rest of the items in the box, but rubber bouncy balls are great.

July's collection is for "Clothing Items." We have plenty of socks, but we could use some t-shirts. For our target 10-14 age group, Adult-sized Small and Medium shirts are probably best. As my grandmother always said, "What will hold more will hold less." Hobby Lobby's regular price for shirts is $2.99 and they're very high-quality Gildan. Michael's has Gildan shirts as well for $3.99, and through 7/3/21 they have 20% off if you use "20madebyyou" at checkout; this makes them about $3.19 each. I also added a 10-pak to our Amazon list which works out to right around $3.00 per shirt; colors aren't critical and the price varies a bit between colors.

The Spare Change for Children collection bottles have been returning every week and are a great way to collect for the $9 handling charge for each box.  Please consider picking one up, filling it with spare change, and bringing it back when you can. When you bring it back, either place it on the back counter in the church office or put them in the plastic OCC shoebox on our table in the hallway as I check that each and every Sunday. We now have over $622 of our $810 goal!
Ushers & Greeters Needed
Volunteers are needed at the 11am service on Sunday mornings.

If you are interested in serving, contact Gail Herrin at 813-909-7644 or agherrin47@gmail.com
Thank you for your faithful giving!
