William Paterson is launching an initiative to provide grants to students that will make up the difference between federal and state aid and tuition so that they can attend without incurring any additional costs.
Mr. Alter will receive an honorary doctorate. Fred Gruel, former chair of the William Paterson University Board of Trustees, to receive President’s Medal. 
Dean Rabbitt is one of 39 Fellows selected from across the country to observe and work with the president and other senior leaders at host institutions. Founded in 1965, the ACE Fellows Program aims to strengthen institutions and leadership in American higher education.
Professor Levitan, public health, is retiring this semester and has given a very generous gift to the University’s Pioneer Food Pantry, which helps students who are in need of food and basic necessities.
Mike Murphy, senior vice president of QuickChek, was inspired by the students he's met at the Cotsakos College of Business's annual Crux of Industry Niche (COIN) bootcamp, and wanted to help by offering scholarship money.
Vivek Agnihotri and Dely Po Go, nursing professors, were two of 13 nurses to receive the Diva and Don award honored by the New Jersey State Nurses Association's Institute for Nursing.
“We’re excited that our graduate students, three of whom also work as peer writing consultants in our Writing Center, conducted this research and were accepted to share their findings and insights at this conference – all of which pushes us toward the best practices in our field,” says Sean Molloy, assistant professor of English and director of the Writing Center.
Professor Rees created seven 10-foot cube sculptures in varying hues of vinyl as well as augmented reality animals and insects that are activated by tablet computers as a part of the exhibition.
