The North American Branches of the World's Poultry Science Association (Canada, Mexico, and the United States) are pleased to submit a bid for consideration to host the 2026 World's Poultry Congress in Toronto, Ontario, Canada! Voting is set to open soon, so be on the lookout for the voting announcement from WPSA. In the meantime, enjoy learning more about Toronto!

After a full day at the conference, the delegates can kick back and relax in one of Toronto’s extensive choice of Hotels. Throughout the city, and at various price points, you will encounter wide ranging accommodation options. Whatever your preference, Toronto’s stylish and acclaimed hotel roster delivers. Toronto has over 170 Hotels and 36,000 rooms. 


There are 2 hotels directly connected to the MTCC, one connected to our North Building and one to the South Building. Within walking distance to the MTCC, there are a total of 10,000 rooms of varying price points. These are also easily accessible via the Toronto subway or a quick taxi ride.

WPSA Spotlight

WPSA-USA

The Board members of the WPSA-USA Branch are Sami Dridi (President, pictured to the right), Robert Van Wyhe (Vice President), Tony Pescatore (PSA Foundation Committee), Petek Settar (PSA Foundation Committee), Darrin Karcher (PSA Presidential Appointment), Todd Applegate, Bob Buresh (WPSA-USA Branch Secretary), and Tom Porter, PSA President. A component of our mission is to promote poultry scientists' participation in international efforts related to poultry science and the poultry industry.  This year we have 514 members with 151 individual members, 316 student members, and 47 life members. The WPSA-USA and the WPSA-Canada Branches invited Dr. Ian Dunn (University of Edinburgh, Scotland) as a guest speaker and sponsored the WPSA Lecture during the 2022 PSA Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX, USA. The WPSA-USA Branch awarded 20 travel grants to students and faculties to attend the WPC 2022 in Paris, France as well as 4 awards for the Carpenter Essay.


Our fervent hope is to see more students and individuals join the WPSA-USA Branch and we look forward to seeing everyone in Paris next month.
