Arts & Culture

Did you know that Toronto is the most-visited destination in Canada? For one, it’s the country’s multicultural epicenter – with a population of over 51% born outside of Canada – which naturally lends to a refreshing selection of museums, galleries and landmarks that honor our city’s rich heritage. Not to mention year-round festivals that celebrate diversity in food, music, art and film; some of the most well-known being the Toronto International Film Festival and Toronto Caribbean Carnival, to name a few. Not to mention Canada is one of three host countries for the 2026 FIFA World Cup that is kick off in June 2026 and conclude just before the Congress starts. Toronto is one of only two Canadian candidate host cities that will host matches, so taking in a match prior to the Congress is a real possibility.

Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC)

Room Space & Accommodations

Located right downtown at the epicenter of Toronto’s business and entertainment core, our world-class facilities have been used to host everyone from industry leaders to world leaders. With a vast array of meeting rooms, ballrooms, exhibit space, and a 1,232-seat theatre, our convention center offers a wide range of contemporary, welcoming spaces for events of all sizes.

The 27th World Poultry Congress (WPC) will occupy the entire South Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This exclusivity will allow for branding and sponsorship and many common areas where the delegates can network with their peers. The renovated South Building meeting levels are conveniently connected by multiple escalators and elevators for easy flow of delegates.

The South Building contains the 50,000 sq ft / 4,646 sq mt ballroom (Halls F&G). Adjacent to this ballroom are exhibit halls D&E. Combined, the halls are 200,000 sq ft / 18,600 sq mt and an ability to divide the halls into 2 separate spaces. On this level, there are 6 additional meeting rooms that can be used for speaker ready rooms, offices and storage spaces.

On Level 700 (one level above the ballroom), there are 24 meeting rooms of various sizes. The largest being 10,044 sq ft / 932.9 sq mt to the smallest being 406 sq ft / 37.7 sq mt. These meeting rooms can be utilized for the specialized sessions for the various WPSA working groups.

On Level 600, there are an additional 8 meeting rooms that can be used as overflow workshops rooms, or used as various committee-meeting rooms. This level also has ample space for the entire registration for the congress.

As the WPC will be the only group in the South Building over the congress dates, this provides ample branding and advertising opportunities to the sponsors.
