SUNDAY: Love Feast Drive-Through & Courtyard of Lights, 5:00-6:30pm

Long a Westminster tradition, we’ll mark Love Feast a bit differently this year. WPC Youth will be dressed in their traditional Love Feast finery as luminaries cast a warm glow and light the way for this evening Drive-Through event. Small loaves of bread and a Love Feast liturgy for use around the table at home will be given to each carload.

Our "Courtyard of Lights" will make its debut at Love Feast. The idea came from a desire to bring light to a dark time. WPC friends and families have donated strings of lights from their homes to create a message of unity and witness for each other and our community. Thanks to everyone that provided lights and helped create the display. All are invited to come and enjoy our witness of light, which will shine through Epiphany on January 6, so invite your friends and neighbors.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday evening!
Sponsors Needed for "Share Your Christmas"
Bring your gifts to Love Feast on Sunday night

For 45 years, "Share Your Christmas" has provided holiday gifts to some of our most vulnerable Durham neighbors. This program is coordinated by the Durham County Department of Social Services and Triangle Nonprofit and Volunteer Leadership Center. This year Westminster has committed to serving 130 people.

We still have a few individuals on our list that need sponsors - can you help? Click the button below for details. You may drop off your gift at the Love Feast Drive-Through, or arrange for a contactless porch pick-up. If you'd like to help with sorting and delivering gifts or need to arrange a porch pick-up of your gifts, please contact Amy Stanfield.
Poinsettia Dedications for Loved Ones
Order deadline is Sunday

Show your love this season with a poinsettia dedication and donation to the Flower Guild. You can honor, remember, or celebrate loved ones by making a $10 donation to the WPC Flower Guild. Poinsettias will be available for pick-up after Advent Vespers on December 16 and 23. Please contact westminster@wpcdurham.org with any questions.
Holiday Shopping with Bull City Fair Trade
10% discount for Westminster friends & family

The Global Missions Committee is sponsoring a shopping event with Bull City Fair Trade (formerly One World Market), so we have the opportunity to support artisans around the world while buying gifts for family and friends, as well as goodies like chocolate and soup for ourselves. Enjoy 10% off when you shop the store online, through December 7 at 12:00 noon. Be sure to enter the code WESTMINSTER at checkout to get the discount. You can pick up your order curbside, have it shipped, or our friends at Bull City Fair Trade will deliver orders over $30 within 10 miles of the store.
Iglesia Presbiteriana Emanuel, WPC's Christmas Offering Recipient

Iglesia Presbiteriana Emanuel has been selected as the sole recipient of Westminster’s 2020 Christmas Offering. Since the pandemic began, Iglesia Emanuel's food ministry has grown from serving about 60 families a week to more than 450. WPC volunteers serve each week, bagging beans and rice at home and helping on-site at Wednesday's food giveaway. Westminster is honored to be a part of this vital ministry for the Durham community.

You may contribute to the Christmas Offering at any time this month. There are three ways you can give. Thanks in advance for your support!
  • Give online at www.wpcdurham.org/give.
  • Text CHRISTMAS and your donation amount to 73256 (standard text message rates may apply).
  • Mail a check to the church. Please make checks payable to WPC with "Christmas Offering" on the memo line).
